| Do we know it's cocaine? I know, given how rife it is throughout sport and society as a whole, that's it's the most likely but we seem to be jumping the gun a bit here. Unless I've missed something, of course..

| Quote: Grimmy "That's a real shame, I like him as a player. The sport really seems to have a problem with this issue'"
It transcends merely the sport, it is a societal issue.
The UK is the cocaine capital of Europe. The rising trend of violent crime, particularly knife crime, ties in with the rise in use and availability of cocaine. Police budgets have been slashed, Westminster lacks the foresight to make the nuanced reform and change necessary to combat it. Our government believe greater powers to "stop and search" or to "put more police on the streets" will work when the issue stems from crypto-technology that makes it easy to advertise, negotiate and distribute high margin cocaine online. The battle is in the air and not on foot.
Anyway I digress. Yes, horrific timing and a shame as the lad has some ability. We can only await the outcome.

| Quote: Cherry_Warrior "Not my business Gareth, and after Tomkinsgate what would have been the point? Seriously losing interest in this sport now. We wonder why we can't get publicity and good tv deals, the lunatics are running the asylum, or should i say 'ruining' it. Wigan as a club should be at the forefront of promoting the game but i am afraid we have become the poster club for everything that is bad about the game. We are letting every other club down.'" it might not be your business but you should of let someone know about it,
I once passed on information to a friend as he was in a coaching role and didn't want him to be subjected to public criticism as he's a genuine good feller,
I hadn't proof but enough info for him to be monitored, the lad in this case had beat up his girlfriend one thing he couldn't hide and was using drugs, I later learned he lost his contract but this didn't go through the media.

| The game as a whole needs to decide how it wants to deal with issues like drugs taking. Do we treat performance enhancing drugs as being different to social ones. When I was a young player some of the things done by senior payers under the influence of alcohol would make your hair stand on end but were conveinently ignored by fans and management. I am not in favour of the use of social drugs (other than alcohol but then I am a hypercrit) but I understand that they are very common today. If we genuinely wanted a drugs free sport we could impliment a whole range of processes to find users but we might find that we had few players left. I really think that we want to ask what we want and decide what is to be done before we try to change anything (as I am sure Mrs May will agree with).

| That whole rant by Brian Carney shows how little he knows about the current crop of Wigan players.

Basically, agreed to join Gold Coast when his Wigan contract ended, begged for and was granted early release from Wigan to join Newcastle Knights, did a season with them then bailed on Gold Coast without ever playing for them to go to Irish RU before returning to RL with Warrington, hence self serving bell end.

come on the way you was talking he'd done wigan over, he left early the rest is has nothing to do with his wigan contract while he was you and his reputation of being a model player, circumstances change and you can choose to change your mind, is it because he chose Wire than Wigan
what he has commented on is a complete disrespect to your club, using drugs, drink driving, drinking and causing a public nuisance, that's before you even mention your management
wonder how many of your fans have the same thought the he is a bellend?
