It’s to be expected I suppose. He talked constantly at the start of last year about the same things but he only had the Challenge cup in his possession then. He even said the same things once the cup had gone and we had nothing left and he says the same things now when he has 3 of the 4 trophies at the training ground. His manner is exemplary and Stu might well be the first person I’ve seen question it tbh. Even a huge Saints troll on Twitter said he was pleased for Peet last night. |

Honestly, deep down what response did you expect? I’ve not seen a single post on this forum from any other opposition fan that didn’t offer some sort of well done. It may not be intended and you normally come across as a reasoned sensible poster but recently you are coming across as bitter and jealous.
I don’t care who thinks what achievement is better. Any win over an Australian side is worth bragging about. RL is the number 1 sport down there, they have a bigger talent pool and significantly more funds.
The Wardle try - 100% the ball touched the line, it would be very easy to take a clip or a still to suit an agenda. The real debate is whether it was a double movement or not (incidentally this is what most of the Australians are discussing). Being honest I think we got the run of the green there but there is an argument to say the defenders helped him over the line.
The no try at the end - Correct decision under the rules, VR had no choice as it was sent up as a no try. If it was sent up as a try it would have been given as there was no real evidence either way. If we are going to force the ref to guess then as a sport we have to accept sometimes he will guess. Fields arms we’re certainly under the ball so it was not an unreasonable decision. |

The same people saying he didn’t get it to the line are saying they could see May did get the ball down in that last second incident  (there is literally no camera angle in existence that showed that).
It’s been heart warming reading all the bitterness today, it really has. I am a bit disappointed that Robbie Rich Wolf Curry Mon hasn’t been on with his congratulations though. |

When has Peet said Wigan are the only club to do such things ?
He’s often praised saints for being a similar club to us with regards youth etc.
You’ve been coming on here for years telling us how good saints/Welsby are, many of us have agreed but you wouldn’t give Wigan an ounce of credit for defending for their lives for 80mins against a brilliant team with several players missing.
The occasion last night dwarfed the preseaon challenge game from the year before and you know that. |

Where has Peet made these comments? For me, he can say what he likes he has done it all in a very short period of time. The reality is he has nothing else to play for unless he becomes England coach. For what it is worth, I can only see Wigan or Saints winning the GF. |
