I don't. He's not English.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| Gelling needs match fitness and a bit more fine tuning from the coaching staff in my opinion. But looks promising if he applies himself properly.

| It is pronounced "Gell-ing"
Could he be our starting centre next year?

| I think the only real selection dilemma Wane has if there are no injuries in the remaining pre season game is whether Goulding or Gelling get the nod to start at for the first SL game. I'd be leaning slightly towards Gelling atm but I think they will both get game time on Tuesday night to try and stake their claim.

Goulding will be ahead of Gelling at the moment as he is the safer and better option at this point in time, Gelling has a lot of maturing as a person and player before I'd put him ahead of Goulding.

Looking at him so far he's further on then I thought he would be and looks a genuine chance of becoming a starting centre for us this season.
Before the HKR game and last nights match I was worried we didn't have a good enough centre to fill that right sided position and I was even more worried about us having no depth. I now think we have both because Goulding looks really determined to do well and Gelling looks good back up at least. I still think Charnley could be the best of the 3 as well so my worries have pretty much evaporated.
Add in Matty Russell's performances at fullback in pre season and we have depth all across that backline now imo.

| I really hope Goulding does have the determination to succeed this year. Playing him on the wing in 2011 was always going to be risky given his defensive frailties. Moving him into the centres should take some of that pressure off him. If he starts to combine well with Charnley, the right side attack could be deadly this year.

The most difficult position to play in a team from a defensive point of view is centre so I cannot understand your logic here!

Having not had first hand experience of playing, I can only concede your point. I would have thought that having players on both sides of him would keep his positional play in check rather than being alone on the wing where he can drift inside.

Charnley and Roberts often drift inside too when on the right wing. The right side often seems to be short of numbers defensively due to players inside, such as the second row, not drifting with the winger left with 2 v 1. It is far too simplistic to just blame the winger.

Seems Anthony Gelling had bleach his hair blond as punishment for mistaking a day off. He also got fined for it. tinyurl.com/7q3yyew

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know
