| The fans should back Noble yes because, he is doing the best he can with the squad he has. I tell you now, he has had little or no input in the signings made in his tenure and this is something that the new coach will have to put up with too

Is it unreasonable to suggest Ainscough has done better than Roberts?
I don't think it is.
Roberts is not some sort of rock in defence and on attack he actually looks poor compared to Ainscough. Do you disagree with is? If so why?

| Thats all very nice but...
To answer the original question...
NO
Simple as really.
and it is harming the club and Brian Noble himself the more it is dragged out.
I predict Noble will walk away saying the job had been made impossible with all the speculation about his position undermining him. Thats the only face saving thing left open IMO.

| i can still remember the mess we were in when millward came and went. the turnaround noble created that season along with fielden and dobson. the rugby became exciting probably due to the pressure we were under every game, the atmosphere and togetherness of the club was as good that half season as it was in our glory years, once we survived we couldn't wait for the next season to start, unfortunately noble along with fielden since then have been one big letdown, the rugby is boring, the atmosphere at the jjb is non existant, the crowds are dwindling and everyone quite rightly is down in the dumps, trent barrett was the reason we managed to hold our heads above the water for the previous seasons.the only way we can move on and get the crowds back and the feelgood factor is to change things again and see if that gets everyone up for it again. don't really know what has gone wrong with noble but for the sake of the club and the fans he needs to go,we are so stale it's untrue.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

F*cking rubbish.
People like you really need to get a grip. Brian Noble is the reason why a Wigan team which, on paper, is actually pretty decent, is underperforming to the extent that it's now the worst team in SL.
Noble has been fully involved in recruitment, and is the only one to control team selection. The mess we're in is 99.9% his fault.
Anyone who can't see this is watching the wrong game.

What a dreadful thing!
Taste is the enemy of creativeness.

as you say cruncher, the fact that this squad can happily hammer the top 3 one week, and then lose to the bottom 3 the next - shows that the players are good enough to be a top 3 team [and tbh the 3rd best team in SL is a pretty poor standard nowadays], but have the heart and bottle of a bottom 3 team.

| In my humble opinion it is time to back him, he's still here and we need to get behind 'Wigan' from now on in. He does a lot of work behind the scenes for Wigan that people don't see and when we get back to our glory years he will have helped us do it with the restructuring of the club etc. Perhaps we could get Mr Wayne Bennett over to give the coaching team some insight into how to be successful.
I would have Adriam Lam back at Wigan but only as an assistant coach to whoever takes over from Mr Noble.

A Coach for the Coach?
I don't think you will find anyone here who is not grateful for everything Noble has done, but the bottom line is can he take us any further or is it time for someone new to come in?

| I think from the performances this season it is time for some fresh ideas and impetus from someone else. We are consistently inconsistent!
