is it true that the only reason gleeson came available was that warrington owe the taxman over £100,000,so really they were forced to offload the player

Didn't want to play for them anymore apparently. He had the desire to move to the NRL and had it in his contract that he could do so. Warrington would have lost him at the end of the season for nothing anyway and when Wigan came in with an offer they accepted.
Although he wanted to play elsewhere he still produced the goods for Warrington. In his last game he setup a beautiful try for one of the young lads at Warrington (can't remember his name) from a fantastic offload and even out of position was playing well for Warrington.
So even though his mind was elsewhere if you believe the pop at Gleeson on the Warrington website he could still create chances for them and was still one of their pivitol players with four try assists already this season which is the most for any of the Warrington players.

I know you weren't suggesting replace Feka with Kylie but if your going to complain about Feka's game time your going to complain about Kylie's even more if he came so you would have to be prepared for that 
Feka has had a fair bit of criticism on here before, he does more when he's on the pitch than Fielden and Coley do put together. If we didn't rely on him so heavily (no pun intended) we wouldn't want him to do anymore than he is now
I agree about signing a prop would considerably help the pack out as at the moment is one of the weakest in the league and doesn't strike any fear into opponents. Our backline is sorted so we just need to get the halves and front row right and we have ourselves a capable team

I know I could make a good coach
But the truth is no-one really knows. I would say that on the whole he wanted to leave Warrington is a bit mis-interpreted. Given the choice at the end of the season he wanted to move to the NRL if he was given the opportunity and Melbourne had expressed an interest and at one point some people were claiming it to be a done deal. Had this deal fallen through which it seemed to have done I think he would have stayed at Warrington but the chance to play for his hometown club may have spurred him on to sign for Wigan. If he is true to his word and is not just playing up to the cameras then as a Wigan lad, yeah, I can believe him that he wanted to join Wigan and given the opportunity to, he has took it. If you further believe the rumours Wigan wanted him from St.helens but Saints refused to negotiate with Wigan and so he went to Warrington which might explain why he was not exactly thrilled signing for them. |
