Doctors, Architects, Engineers, Teachers, Police Officers (not while serving)
successfull business owners and not one of them doesnt have a job
Not exactly a chav group. People think its just for folk on the dole, but its so common place its untrue. I heard a chap telling someone on his mobile to buy a bag in Asda on wednesday night last week.'"
Surely then, by law of averages we should have a decent number of RLFANS posters who are also taking it?
Anyone going to admit to it?
Also, would you say it's an 'age' thing?
Neither myself, my mates, nor my close work colleagues take it (as far as I know), yet I've heard rumours of some of the younger ones at work (20-25 year olds) doing regular drugs on nights out.
Beer & Women was my drug when I was 25.

Nobody is denying that a lot of people use cocaine but to suggest its anywhere near close to 80% of the population is madness!

Thats just in athletics I think, and then its down to the individual countries to impose. Look at chambers, he served his 2 year ban and then uk athletics still wouldnt let him run.
Its more down to immigration rules.

| Quote andyed-wiganrl="andyed-wiganrl"Im not naive enough to think so....out of my group of friends I would say that approximately 30% of them will do infrequently, however that is not every night......to say 80% of a given group of people at one time are coked up is ludicrous. Even though probably a third of my friends will have the occasional line on a night out it doesnt mean that they're all doing it every night!! out of your 3/4 friends do they do it every week?! No...so why do you presume 80% of wigan is.....its just exagerated 5hyte'"
Not everyone of them no, but 3 or 4 do, and one tragicly has a £250 a week habit, although its perhaps no shock that he dont get asked out with us much anymore, after a particular incident in a airport in Italy!
Personally, i think as soon as his b sample is positive, he should be sacked, and his registration held by the club, untill his ban is over, i honestly cant see him playing top flight again, for the same reasons others have posted!

| I read earlier that a ban would prevent him playing any professional sport in any country.

| Has Hock actually been found guilty yet?
Seems like he's already been hung out to dry by so called supporters.

| Quote wireontour="wireontour"In the past your probably right, but now I think our immigration have got different ideas. I recall that one of the NRL players recently was refused a visa cos he had driving offences in Aus.'"
Tricky one really isn't it?
I mean he hasn't actually been charged by the police with anything and nor will he. Sounds stupid considering the positive results but "lack of evidence" will prevent it.
Thus as he has no criminal record (or none that I'm aware of) there isn't anything stopping him from going to Australia. I'm not too sure if the RFL/NRL have an agreement on illegal drug taking - if not I hope no NRL club takes him on. He just doesn't deserve it.

Its definatley an age thing, im 29 so on the back end of my turning out days, but i know loads of lads in their early 20's who start the night on the lines.
When i was just starting going out round town 97ish, the stalls where always empty in the toilets, now they are always full of at least 2-3 lads making funny sniffing noises!

I agree. I think most sports in the world support/endorse WADA, i'm sure the NRL do, so he wouldn't be able to play League/Union/Football or any other sport that applies WADA's rules

| I always thought that vacant expression on his face was simply down to him being a bit cerebrally challenged.
Now we know it's all down to the baking powder in the Wigan Happy Pies
