I didn't include the Cas game as I do not see that causing Leeds too much trouble. I quoted the away game at Catalans which is always a difficult fixture for any team. It is next Saturday by the way.

I am suspicious of these figures. If Wigan is such a draw where have they been when we used to play London Broncos? Likewise the 2K of neutral but already RL fans. Where have they been hiding?
Clearly those who went had a good day out - as you do when you go to Wembley but had we got there this year how many would have wanted to make a second trip in so short a time?
If a regular league fixture is relocated next season as implied elsewhere I can only seeing it be Les Cats again as there is absolutely nothing to be gained from Leeds/Saints/Wire or any other team's point of view from agreeing to play in London. Just more cost for them and their fans and for what? To aid Wigan and its goal of attracting sponsors. OK....they really are going to do that!

I assume any Wigan fans who came by train would have come into Euston? I saw a few there there in Wire, Giants, Saints shirts, etc. Presumably expatriate Londoners cheering on the Catalans?'"
London Gatwick to the ground took 50 minutes using rail - tube - rail , no problem at all . Only took that long because there was no direct train to the ground on Saturday because of engineering works .
Cracking day out all round .

I paid for mine NK and it most certainly was worth the admission fee alone

PS , I only had to pay because my daughter (who lives in London) claimed my free season ticket one . Note to myself don't leave things lying about like food and complimentary Wigan tickets when the kids are around .
Regards again , EW

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

So are you suggesting that Wigan took more fans to London than they do to Saints or Warrington?
Think before you type.

I got the train from Wigan into Euston from there it was Northern Line to London Bridge then over ground to South Bermondsey(one stop) then a 10 minute walk to the ground.
There are better locations in London we could have held the game but I enjoyed the trip and found the stewards etc. very helpful

| There were 10 sat next to me who were new to watching a live game. They were either impressed or upset by the impact of some of the collisions !
In front there were 4 milwall fans.
On the train in from East Croydon a number of passengers I saw who were not obvious RL fans turned up at the game, so just on my limited view I saw a pretty good percentage on non traditional attendees.

Hardly comparable really is it, when a large proportion of Wigan fans didn't need to pay for their ticket and a good number of them also got free travel. For a lot of people it was cheaper than going to Saints or Warrington. What would the attendance have been if everyone had to pay for a ticket and make their own way down there?
