20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| Bradford are going to be pants next year, they will sign anyone as they are skint eastwood. I wouldn't mind trying to sign Scruton, I'm sure Bradford enjoy recieving transfer fees.

Which do part do you think is the 'new low' for Bradford?
The fact they've signed someone who is in prison or the fact they've gone for Gareth Raynor.

| Raynor's an average signing but still a big step up from their last capture - Ian Sibbit.
Bradford's 2011 recruitment has been really poor so far. As someone who genuinely wants Bradford to become a real force again for the benefit of the game, its disappointing.

Is that more morally wrong than re-signing a player who broke someone's jaw, or a player who broke someone's back, or a cocaine user, or Paul Koloi. We're not in a position to really judge them on things like this. In fact, I can't think of many clubs who could take the moral high ground.

Im not saying its more morally wrong than anything. I just think that given the circumstances its a stupid signing. Bradford are a struggling club and he will do more bad for the club than good IMO - hes missed all this season, been in prison so wont have been able to train with professionals, is the wrong side of 30, and he's not exactly a great role model for the young players at Bradford like Ainscough, Donaldson, Vinny F, The Burgess Twins etc. I'd be embarrassed and gutted if we had signed him.

Thats spot on imo. He was done for dodgy ink cartridges or something wasnt he? Not exactly a violent criminal and he can only play when hes done his time. We have apparantly resigned or are going to resign Hock who is currently banned!

Are you of the same opinion with us potentially re-signing Gareth Hock then?
Because Gareth Hock has missed all this season, served a sentence, wont have been able to train with professionals, and (in your own words) "not exactly a great role model for the young players".
I think as supporters we'd be hypocritical if we started lambasting Bradford for signing Gareth Raynor, for the reasons above.

No because Hock has been training with professionals (army) is on the right side of 30 and is a damn site better player than Gareth Raynor which makes all the other points moot.

| I've never said its WRONG for them to sign Raynor i just think its a bad signing because he's past it, and happens to be in prison.
Shall I misread your posts on this and assume you think Raynor is a good signing for Bradford?

You said Bradford sink to new low by signing a player that was actually in prison. You didnt mention anything about him being crap. Thats why people are questioning it.

Do you have selective reading? Or do you just look at words and make it up in your head? Im not saying he's crap either. I said he was past it i.e. wrong side of 30. Whats so hard to understand about that?
Fooking hell this is hard work at times.

No what he did was read exactly what you said and respond to it. This is what he was referring to.
Quote: RICHARD5LEGEND " Bradford sink to new lows by signing a player thats actually in prison'"
I don't think anyone would disagree with you that Raynor is a bad signing given his age and time spent away from the game and i would be unimpressed to say the least had Wigan signed him.
The point people are responding to is that you say his signing is a new low because he is currently in prison, apparently what you meant was that he has been out of the game and away from professional training but it seemed like you were questioning the ethics of signing someone who was presently imprisoned. There's no need to get stroppy just because people are questioning something you've said.
