Its rife everywhere though pall, out of all my mates at least 3/4 have tried it, and in that band of friends there are
Doctors, Architects, Engineers, Teachers, Police Officers (not while serving)
successfull business owners and not one of them doesnt have a job
Not exactly a chav group. People think its just for folk on the dole, but its so common place its untrue. I heard a chap telling someone on his mobile to buy a bag in Asda on wednesday night last week.

Like the british authorities the Aussies are tough on drugs and also other things. Greg Bird hadnt been convicted of anything and got refused a visa.
I dont know if hock has any other convictions in his past for anything but the aussies have got problems with the reputation of the game there and wont take any of our problems.

| Quote Jimmy Birts Lives On="Jimmy Birts Lives On"I agree. Whilst this news is a massive blow, I'm trying to see if any positives can come from it and I've a feeling that it may signal the beginning of the end of the appaling culture and attitude at Wigan that has seen numerous coaches come & go as they fail to motivate the set of lacklustre fecks.'"
Spot on. The culture of acceptance of less than the highest standards at Wigan has to end.
The one good thing that can come out of this sorry incident is that it could mark a turning point for the club.
IL needs to take charge now and lay down the law to everyone in the club. Only the highest standards of behaviour, on and off the field, are acceptable. Only 100% effort is acceptable. Only the very best from each and everyone of the players, coaching and backroom staff is good enough.
If anyone is not prepared to live by those standards they should leave or be sacked.
My answer therefore to the posts on here querying why some Wigan fans are not calling for Hock to be sacked when we made a fuss about other clubs' players doing things similar to what Hock is alleged to have done or over domestic violence offences etc then is simple. Those Wigan fans are wrong. If Hock is found guilty he should be sacked immediately and should never play for Wigan again.

I'm not too sure mate. I'd like to think not as playing in the NRL is the pinnacle of a pro RL players career IMO and Hock certainly does not deserve that - but I'm sure that NRL player(s) who have been suspended in Aus for cocaine/drugs have come to play in SL.

Im not naive enough to think so....out of my group of friends I would say that approximately 30% of them will do infrequently, however that is not every night......to say 80% of a given group of people at one time are coked up is ludicrous. Even though probably a third of my friends will have the occasional line on a night out it doesnt mean that they're all doing it every night!! out of your 3/4 friends do they do it every week?! No...so why do you presume 80% of wigan is.....its just exagerated 5hyte

In the past your probably right, but now I think our immigration have got different ideas. I recall that one of the NRL players recently was refused a visa cos he had driving offences in Aus.

I really don't think there is.
He would do really well in the NRL and probably wouldn't come back anyway.
Set up a link with Manly and let them have Hock for 2 years while we have Watmough

Thats the frustration of most serving police officers - it's blatently obvious he/she has been in possession at some point, whether it was a friend's or not but it cannot be proved that it belonged to that person or that person had it upon them.
Another loophole in the law IMO but that's an argument for another day
