39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

That has never been a plan really, we want to make the south stand our end.
I came up with the idea of using the North stand as our honours board though. Could have flags with velcro on and update it.
Would look class with the amount we have won.

Yeah that'd look good. I'm really looking forward to the new season already - can't wait to join in the songs in S2.
Just thinking though, when you get too many flags to fit on the SS gantry it'd be better to put them somewhere else than to get rid of them or rotate them.
Where/when can I buy a flag?

I would have said barmy flags a year ago, but through group experience, price and speed of delivery go to ultrasshop.com far more different designs, sizes and ideas.

I actually meant scarves but I was thinking about flags at the time
I'll just stick to waving my Wembley flag. Not sure if this interests anyone but how about encouraging people to bring flags from previous finals? - I'm sure a lot of people have them and it'd be good to look back at the finals we've won

And more people would like to get involved if they have flags at home instead of being put of having to buy/make or use another persons flag

From Wikipedia
In addition, the supporters have set up a group to improve the atmosphere at both home and away games, known as the Wigan Brigantes. The group started by erecting flags across the South Stand gantry at the DW Stadium, beginning with 12 at the start of the 2010 season and has steadily grown since then. The group's banner has the phrase "Long After Tonight Is All Over" as a nod to the Jimmy Radcliffe song that was a staple of the Wigan Casino club during the Northern Soul era, and to show their rivals that their support will continue well after the final whistle has sounded. This is particularly true of some of Wigan's away games during the 2011 season where their fans have often stayed well over half an hour after the final hooter singing to the tune of "Dale Cavese".
