Quote Last Son of Wigan="Last Son of Wigan"If Noble and/or Fielden leaves our club then we forget about them and move on-regardless of their success or lack of it at other clubs.
Monie is an interesting one, I think the other reason people are getting excited about him cos of past links and success with our club. But since he lead a team of superstars to glory his record hasn't been that stirling to say the least.
Apart from Edwards, my first choice, and despite his age, I really rate Wayne Bennett, he is outstanding in every department of RL coaching and clearly had a hand in the success of NZ in the WC.
You never know, he might fancy a stint in SL before he completely retires from RL.'"
my comment about nobby and fielden was more tounge in cheek than anything else, but i agree that there is no point bothering about how any ex player or coach get on after they have gone (exept perhaps shaun briscoe!!).
If Wanye Bennett would even consider comming over here then that would be fantastic. He has never been one to go with the flow with the positions he has held over the last few years and he really strikes me as a very self motivated, self minded individual who does not care for the status quo. if there was a reason for him to come over here surely the thought of helping resurect a once unstoppible team to its former glory would appeal. TBH in a lot of respects he would be my ideal choice (above even Edwards) purely because it has a slight chance of happening as opposed to Shaun comming back (which is a pipe dream for most of us).
