Lot of truth in that, remember, Leeds (who lost at Wembley) went on to win every game to the end of the season, coping with a C Cup final loss and going on to win the Grand Final, playing (IIRC) as many games as us, injuries to key players is the main stumbling block I believe. |

I think that Wane is making nothing more than a bold statement of intent here, he is merely stating what every super league coach would aim for, no great headlines here for me?
May'be even Betts at Widnes may have whispered these same words too?
At the end of the day these spoken words end when the trophies are handed out and i'm very proud that Tony Smith,Bluey and Brian Mac have all actually delivered the ultimate prize of GF success' and on a regular basis too, although all have subsequently failed in bringing CC final success to the Rhinos, is this a feat that will prove to be almost the Holy Grail?
IMO it will take a very special squad that could ultimately deliver the Challenge cup, The League leaders shield and win the GF all in one season
To get a squad of players to peak throughout entirely the whole SL season would be a very hard task, but not impossible
