| 4 bad games on the bounce would suggest that the other SL clubs have worked out the Wigan Way, and it's looking like you're going to be one season wonders.
Still, your new coach next season may have some original ideas, so perhaps there's no need to be throwing yourselves into the Leeds and Liverpool just yet.....

| The best bit is, at the start of the season, wigan fans were talking about the treble and even talking about which end of OT they will be sat in this year

I wouldnt usually entertain trolls, but in this case its laughable. Of those last 4 games...
- We beat Hull with 12 men despite not turning up.
- We then lost to Warrington at home, which we did last year and went on to become Champions, and for me they will win the league this year.
- Then we drew to Leeds who have won 3 GF's in the last 4 years despite being outplayed for 65 minutes.
- Then this week we lose to a very good Catalan team who beat Warrington the week before.
Depsite this run of bad games we are still above you in the table on points difference. Now either we arent playing too badly and its just a blip, or both of our clubs arent what the used to be?

| It has to be said that Catalans were outstanding last night. Wigan's defence was uncharacteristically disorganised but take nothing away from Catalans who played superb. At times they were brilliant to watch especially in the second half when they realised that they had won the game and gave the ball plenty of air. Aside from the obvious disappointment about Wigan's chain coming off big style it is refreshing to see that the comp is alive and well and that there are fewer whipping boys. Although I think Wigan may be the new whipping boys on last night's performance. Three late tries avoided a 47-10 embarassment.
It is hard to believe that a weakened Wigan team defended so well against Huddersfield only 3 weeks ago and yet defended so poorly against Catalan.

As top dogs for 3 out of the last 4 seasons I can share a secret with you coventry.....nothing is won when you're a 1/3rd of a way through the season!
We may or maynot be team we once were....our new coach and his style of play is taking time to gel, but given the ease with which we crossed your try line last week, I'd say the indications are fairly good for further improvement, and perhaps yet another successful season. Let's see how it goes at KR today.
As for your thoughts on Wigan not being as good as previously..... .....perhaps I shouldn't point out your previous 12 years of mid table ordinaryness? One GF win in all that time doesn't automatically get you a place on the top table. You have to earn it, like Leeds, Bradford and Saints did. This year I think it'll be Warrington's turn to enjoy Old Trafford.

I do agree, your challenge cup performance against us last year was awsome and probably one of the most complete performance's I've seen - you played at a completely different speed.
I also agree both Wire and Wigan will improve a lot over the course of the season, but don't forget the Giant's will improve also as our second half performance last night in attack wasn't brilliant by a long shot.

Hudds bombed quite a few good opportunities in that game, it should have been closer and last night they appeared to have learnt the lesson.

My memory of this game was not a battering. It was quite a tight game for 70 mins, then when the game was effectively over, Wigan extended the lead.
Think it was 12 - 6 until 73 minutes.
If you call that a battering, what hyperbole do you use to describe last night????
