Not a nick name as such but I was once at Knowsley Rd and there was an elderly Wiganer in front of me who said very little all game. We'd scored a try and the Saints players, one of which was Shane Cooper, were congregated behind the posts. The old bloke, out of nowhere boomed, "Cooper, thar an ugly pig". Me and my dad just referred to him as the ugly pig from then on.
