| They seemed to linger on the FC spectator far longer than they needed to.
On Wire, I think they have looked Weaker than last year all year. While it was some effort to draw with them at the start of the year, I suspect Wire of a couple of years ago would have put us in our place. I shudder to think what they would have done to our A team that went to the HJ and were leading within the last 10 minutes.
If we keep Sam and Lockers fit, we're really well placed for the double now.
I think we could even win the treble if we win in Catalans (with, I assume a Sam less team). Playing FC at Wembley gives us both a better chance of winning there, and a much better chance the week afterwards, while we can go full on for the other 3 games.

| Quote: NickyKiss "It could be tougher then Wire in a way. There would always be the chance Wire could get a bit complacent at Wembley after all their success at the ground but that certainly won't be the case with Hull.
A score in it either way IMO.'"
Hull are nowhere near as consistent as Wire. They have a handful of games in them when they can convincingly turn over the top teams, but I'd say there is easily more chance than not that Wembley won't be one of those games. That isn't to write them off of course, but the percentages are against them IMO.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

If that gesture by Sam to the so-called English fans who booed him when he was playing for England a few weeks earlier is still annoying those responsible - good.

It's not arrogance it's playing rugby the way its supposed to be played.
If you want to watch penalties being kicked there are other sports for that.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| I think that Briers being AWOL was the biggest issue Wire had on the day... Looks like time could eventually be catching up with the old Warhorses....

| I'm just enjoying the thought of Wire fan's squirming around like Gollum with his object of desire stolen from his grasp........
Did not want to use the word "Ring" there...
If someone can make a pic of Gollum in a Wire shirt, reaching out to the Challenge Cup, that would be brilliant!!!

| Ring would have been more appropriate in terms of Grand Final ring. I think for Wire fans now the biggest hang up is over the Grand Final and not having won it with time running out for the current generation of players. It would have been great to win a fourth Challenge Cup and the occasion of the Challenge Cup is the best day of the year (IMO it still will be as Wigan v Hull, it's still my favourite match of the year). But the Grand Final is the one we haven't won and if we lose in the playoffs, the angst amongst the Wire fans will be bigger than losing on Sunday was.
It's easy to take defeat in your stride in something where you have had a lot of success recently. If we lose a playoff there will be a lot more anger and frustration.

The last time you were champions was 1955 so you'd think you'd have had plenty time to get used to the angst by now.
