Had kind of a weird feeling when I heard the news earlier, part of me felt really gutted because Hock is one of the few players who I thought actually took pride in the shirt, however now I'm not so sure.

The other feeling was that his name did not come as a surprise because he has always struck me as exactly the kind of idiot who would do stuff like this.

I don't think the club have any option but to terminate his contract, to do otherwise would send out the wrong message to every player within the club and to the game and media as a whole.

As for the rest of the side I have a sneaking suspicion that Hock is not alone in his actions and as advocated earlier would test the lot of em regularly from now until the end of the season.

The club needs to regain its discipline and as such I would go one step further and impose an alcohol ban as well.

He has to prove he will learn a lesson imo to stand any sort of chance of a future here.

He should be made to-

Go on some sort of rehibilitation course

Take regular club tests when/if he does come back

Make some sort of statment apologising to all the people he's let down(granted the lads not a public speaker so let somebody else read it)

Make a promise to keep himself in a good condition so he's ready to make a comeback.

If he can keep to all those aswell as probably a couple more things the club could think of then he should stand a chance of a future within the game at Wigan. I suppose everybody deserves a second chance and if the likes of Feka and Greg Bird can be given them then maybe Hock deserves one aswell(aslong as he sticks to any promises).

Maybe there's a career for him in athletics. Dwain chambers thought he could come to rugby league when they banned him.

He isn't the first to be caught either. Ryan Hudson got a 2 year ban for failing a drug test. IMO they should be banned from competing in professional sport. This doesnt set a good example to children.
