True. But not if you want to take it in isolation. Leeds got a lot from the ref too as have ALL teams in ALL the other games played this or any other season. It's not the reason we won. We won becaause we were the better team and deserved to win. We defended better and attacked better, Anything else is simply irrelevant.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

I was REALLY suprised to see Mr Sinfield talk to the officals at length... I know he has a right to as captain, but he does rather abuse the privilage.....

| I blame this crap thread on Jonathan Davis' bitter comments on the BBC after the game. We'd just seen an exciting game that could have gone either way, players had flogged out their guts on both sides, and for a pundit and ex-player to basically say we only won because of the ref was just spiteful.
I thought he let himself down and focused on the negative after such an entertaining contest.

Special mention to St Pete and Agent Mulder .... my kids are finding your rants particularly amusing. Thanks lads

If you notice Sinfield has a very limited knowledge of Rugby League ... he needs most decisions explaining to him by the referee .... usual takes his kids along too, namely McGuire, JJB and Lee Smith.

| I'm pretty sure I predicted on the VT that this place would go into meltdown should Wigan win by some Dubious call or another. Seems I was right. I just hope we win next week off another blatant forward pass, I love the animosity, and that the rest of the RL world would rather hate Wigan than enjoy a good game.

| I love to know who said what to Jonathon Davies to put him in a mardy mood all afternoon??
Maybe Hanley or Offiah said something to him? It looked like he had his face slapped, and that lesbian presenter tried to create a scandal out of nothing. I used to respect her, now its thats gone along with any respect I had for stains, dire and the cheats fans. What a great bank holiday we're having, the rugby world has shown its true colours

| Quote: Colin_Fishwick "For winning Wigan the Challenge Cup.'"
You should take up comedy for a living! Yes the ref missed some calls (for both sides) but to suggest that the forward pass to Lima directly won the cup for Wigan is a gross simplification. Lima still had to attack the Leeds line and several Leeds players could have tackled him but didn't. Leeds have been the masters of the flat/forward pass in recent years and so this post is rather ironic.

| Quite frankly Leeds/other clubs fans who want to find people to blame for Leeds' loss need look no further than a Mr D.McGuire and his comical defending, Mr K.Leuluai and his pathetic and dangerous knee-drop whilst his time had a fantastic attacking position, Mr B.Jones-Bishop and his brain-fart kick after his fantastic side-step and run and Mr R.Bailey for his fantastic impression of a branch as Lima brushed him aside as reasons why they didn't win. Or they could always look at the good things Wigan did, daft idea I know...

| The Mossop pass to Lima may have been forward but what seems to be forgotten is that the TJ or Ref are on the field at ground level. There were players all over the place no doubt obstructing their view.
JD's comments are from seeing the incident via a tv camera some 50 feet above ground level. Of course offcials miss things.
The pass was forward but that was not why Lima scored. He touched down because two Leeds players failed to make a tackle on him. They simply fell off. Whether the pass was forward or back the try would have been scored due to Leeds poor defence.

No whats forgotten is the man who made that pass was playing with a dislocated shoulder, I think the lad deserves more credit than being charged with " a forward pass that won the game"
