I agree with you Bilko but I am concerned that our pack is not big enough or experienced enough against the likes of Warrington and Huddersfield and arguably now Hull KR. I want to be proved wrong but when Coley and Lima are off the pitch our metres gained by the props is decreased, IMO significantly although stats may say differently. I'm not too sure about Mossop at prop, nor am I satisfied with Prescott at prop without Lima/Coley.
Prescott and Mossop have started the season well, no doubting that but I'm not too sure about them being on the pitch together at the same time at prop.

Well the easy solution to that is, to split up Prescott and Mossop and partner each of them with Coley or Lima that way we shouldn't have much of a lull when we rotate the frontrow.
I think a little to much emphasis is put on making meters down the middle of the pitch. We've imo got the biggest and best backrow in the comp, so any slack in going forward should be picked up by our backrow. It's often shown on Boot's N All that we play down a channel a lot of the time and don't spread the ball any more than 10 meters in either direction, and we do just fine making meters using that method. Personally I'm disappointed Fielden's injured but in the grand scheme of thing's I don't think his absence will make much of difference. Now an injury to either Sam or Lockers would be a problem.
I wonder whether Stuarts injury may lead to us seeing Davies or Crosby figure in the first team?

Hang on.........are we the same set of fans banging on about how bigger and better our pack would be this year with Hoff and Lima?
biggest pack in superleague , i think a few said?
we lose ONE prop and suddenly we're worried.......well im not.
we have the players to cope with any pack in the league

It's not one prop though is it, we're missing Fielden and O'Carroll. If we don't pick up any injuries before they're back, we'll be fine. If we do, suddenly we're 3 props down.

O'Carroll hardly figured last season, so im not counting him among the injuries.
the only contribution he would make would be to make our pack smaller.

| Mossops stats are very impressive, he will mature into an awesome prop if he carries on this way!

Played in the last 2 U20s matches, and played very well too (admittedly against poor opposition). He wouldn't let us down if brought into the first team.

| Scored three in two since his comeback in the U20s in the past two weeks. Lead from the front in both games.

| I'd love to see Ben Davies get some opportunities going forward. It would be a shame if we're still sat here in a couple of years talking about the lad being a good prospect without actually seeing what he can do. He got a few sub appearences last season but most for just the odd 5 minutes here and there and he needs longer then that to make an impact.
I'm sure the way things are going with injuries(for all teams) he'll get a chance sooner rather then later.

Like I said, stats may prove differently to my own opinion. Stats tell you a different story, not that I'm doubting they stats validity you stated but for me we seem to lose that 'umph' going forward when Prescott and Mossop are on the pitch together.
I'll wait to see how we fair in the next few games.

I didn't post the stats to try to disprove what you're saying, just to show how our props have been faring so far. After only 3 games it's probably too early to work out anything meaningful. What you say about Prescott is probably true, his average metres per carry are lower than our other 4 main props (although against Salford his were the highest).
I'd generally agree that Prescott isn't going to be a high metre maker but he does have his uses and as a work horse forward he's a very good asset.
Mossop and Lima seem to be our best metre makers, Prescott works tirelessly and will often be a good player to compliment one of those two. Coley's work rate seems to be down from previous years but he's still got some good games in him. At the moment I don't think there is too much to worry about with our props.
