| Cuthbertson has to win it. His ability to offload in any situation has completely changed how Leeds play, and has been one of the main reasons why they've been the best team this year.

Mmmm. I think we've been here before. Hardaker hasn't been challenged at the highest level yet. Let's reserve judgement until after the autumn internationals. If he gets selected. The coach might think we've got someone better.
By the way. Getting a MoS nomination doesn't make you an exceptional talent. It just means you've played well in a poor season overall.
I do think it would be a mistake though.
Hardaker is a particularly nasty piece of work. I haven't met him personally. But I know some who have. I'd have thought that making him MoS would be yet another RL own goal. I mean if the Premier League can avoid making Luis Suarez their player of the year I reckon we can do better too, though I don't expect you to agree with me

| Cuthbertson by a country mile, he's almost single handedly revolutionised the way Leeds play.

A pretty poor year I reckon. I've said Cuthbertson all along, but I think on reflection I'd go with James Roby, as one of the few World Class players in Super League.
I'd have thought Bateman is unlucky not to be short listed for Young Player, making it a Wigan 1/2/3 - is he too old?'"
For Young player both Bateman and Stevie Ward were too old. You had to be UNDER 21 before the season kicked off.

| Cuthbertson for MOS.
The difference between Leeds finishing 6th last year and top of the pile almost all season this season.
Williams YPOY.
Burgess is excellent but been forgotten with his injury.
Currie, don't know how he got selected. Percival should have had that nomination.

| How Roby hasn't been nominated I will never know. I think people have become desensitised to his contribution.
It's a close one for MOS, but I'd say Williams has burst onto the scene this year and has a massive future if he keeps his head on straight.

I agree with this. Hence the hysteria around whoever is the latest Sky/Media obsession. We don't seem to support our best players as the Aussies do. How Roby got overlooked in favour of Clark last year is a case in point. What's happened to him this year?
Meanwhile Roby gets overlooked again whilst the latest obsession gets picked.
Picking the full back from the top team is like picking a football goalie in this instance. I mean Hardakers apologists always argue that his better defence is more important than Sams far greater attacking threat. It's a bit like Wiggys laughable assertion that Wellens was better than Billy Slater.
Hardaker is hardly fit to be ranked with the likes of Tomkins, Farrell, Graham, Peacock, Sculthorpe, Lyon etc. actually my biggest surprise is that they haven't contrived to give it to Sinfield!
My hope is that he gets picked over Sam against NZ and gets found out. Then the media can move on to their next obsession.

| Stats (apart from making mountains if tackles) would say Roby isn't as effective as once was. He's not scoring as many try's, making as many metres or as many breaks but he receives an awful lot of hype from the sky team.
Top player, always has been but he's rightfully not been nominated ahead of the three players selected because they've all had better seasons IMO.
Roby shall take over Sinfield's crown as Eddie and Stevo's head boy once he's retired to Union.

| It may just be me, but I don't think Roby has looked anything like as threating as previous years. Sure, he's a tackling machine, with crisp distribution, but he's not the most creative DH, and as his workload has increased he's become less dangerous with the ball. He's still a superb player, and I think the Fages signing may see Roby become more of an attacking threat again.

You should tell the other SL players they got it wrong.

| I'm another who doesn't rate Hardaker as highly as others. He is a very good player, but don't rate him as the best player in the league (not yet anyway, he's still quite young). Sorry but I don't see how 10 tries and 6 assists from FULL BACK make him a cadidate for MOS?
Yes he is fantastic defensively, but I'd have though he would have to do more than that in attack to win MOS. He has no kicking game and a not amazing passing game. His running game and defense is very good though.
I think the other two deserve it more, but probably Walmsley should win it. He has made a ridiculous number of metres this year.
