| Looking at the Wigan forum through the year I doubt that many of you would have Farrell in Wigan's best 13 at the moment, let alone the League's (ahead of Cuthbertson, Ellis, Taia). Clarke keeps finding new ways of being absurd.

| Faz has actually played a lot better then he's given credit for but he's certainly not been up to dream team standard.
He had a slow start but soon improved and has been solid all year. It's a sign of his quality IMO that he gets a few questions asked of him because many players would be made up with the season he's had. A load of try's, metres and tackles so he's contributed.

I'd go with this.
Just not sure about Lineham. Think Carney makes a massive difference to Cas when he plays and has had some awesome games.

Id agree with that and Charlies team by and large
Saying that i genuinely think that Bateman should be in there. Zeb Taia has been outstanding all year and on every occasion i have seen him play (which is every other week). I have not seen anywhere near enough of Mini to make any kind of informed decision with regards to him being selected. However, he needs to have been going some to displace Bateman.
Bateman is the best signing Wigan have made since Barrett for me. Better though in that he is younger. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic player with HUGE potential.

| I suppose the one thing we should take in to consideration is that the dream team tends to have a huge bias towards English players but even with that in mind it'll be difficult this year for guys like Taia and Cuthbertson to be ignored.

I agree . One of our best signings over the past few years in my opinion, potentially a future captain

| Quote: NickyKiss "You have to chuckle at him don't you!! Even the fans aren't as biased.
Joe Burgess is the only Wigan player certain to make the team. Aside from him I doubt I'd pick anyone tbh with Cuthbertson at loose forward, Zeb Taia a shoe in for second row and probably somebody like Jordan Turner in the centres (that's the only other one Clarkey may get right with picking Gelling as the choice in that position is very poor).
Surprised he didn't include a couple of our props for good pee taking measure.'"
I'm more surprised that he hasn't named Lockers or even Sam Tomkins in his side
Clarke has rapidly gone down in most neutral fans estimations in recent years,He is so blinkered and biased towards Wigan that his comments are cringe worthy to listen to,His comments about McGuire's injury in 2010 were a total disgrace
I am surprised that Sky TV haven't had him in for a chat before now about his impartiality
Burgess has been sensational this season after his early season's poor start
Bateman is a favorite player of mine and he has looked really good this season but he would still be behind Cuthbertson IMO
Gelling - No comment needed as he is nowhere near the dream team what so ever IMO
My side would be
1-Hardaker
2- Burgess
3-Watkins
4-Pomeroy
5-Lineham
6-Campese
7-Kelly
8-Hill
9-Roby
10-Watts
11-Ward
12-Minichello
13-Cuthbertson

Agree with much of your post but Gelling rightly or wrongly is close to dream team standard in terms of superleague centres because the quality is very low. As an example you mention Pomeroy! What's he done to even be mentioned? Bit of a battering ram that doesn't make try's nor score many and has missed a chunk of the season.
Watkins a shoe in and probably Turner for me but Gelling has certainly been in the top 4 or 5 centres this year.

I also think that Turner has been very good offensively but he is a turnstile defensively out wide,He needs to eventually move to the back row IMO where he will be less isolated with defending wide spaces
Shenton and Wardle would also be in front of Gelling IMO
Regarding Pomeroy i reckon if he played for Leeds,Saints or Wigan he would look awesome with his strong running game

When Gelling gets it as right as just now he's outstanding. His consistency is the issue.

He didn't look awesome when he played for the Sharks, he looked what he is; a journeyman.
l certainly wouldn't put him above Gelling or Shenton.
