Yes they did.
The photos were posted on twitter and by all accounts they got a good reception from "all four stands" conroy is probably the one to ask.

This is really good to see.
No doubt there's always be the odd few who won't see it that way but hopefully a sign of far better relations in the future.

I agree. Hopefully the end of this Latics vs Rugby nonsense.
Of course there are still a few idiots (on both sides) who would like to stir stuff up.

| I think the Latics fans were touched when pretty much the whole town got behind them in the cup. I know the Latics fans I know have a lot of respect for the rugby fans after that, it's nice to see them returning the favour. One town!

| Relations are definitely thawing and things like this can only help.
The town isn't big enough for petty rivalries. Every single person in this town should feel immense pride in what's been achieved this year. It's not only the football and rugby teams but there's been athletes staring in other sports and then there's the youth zone that's been opened.
This town gets some bad press but I love it. It is an interesting town and I'm proud to tell people where I'm from. It's very rare anyone, anywhere in the world will say 'where' When you tell them your from Wigan.

| I made 'my peace' with our groundshare deal with Latics some time ago - when it became obvious that we were not going to get turfed out at DW's whim. Even the worry about having to play elsewhere if fixtures 'clash' appears to have receded a little.
This is a proud moment for the town, to which both clubs have massively contributed. I'm glad that people on both sides of the fence are seeing that.

Bloody missed it. Was informed it was happening but when I asked a member of the WAFC hierarchy they said they had no idea so I opted to haveca beer in the hope it's repeated on Friday. Then again, I do have until May to see it

| As a latic but also a lover of my home town rugby team I feared the worst when I heard what was happening at half time...well I tell you what occured was magnificent..the reception looked unanimous so although a handfull of heads look to stir it up in reality the vast majority are massively proud of what the town has done. Let this be an end to the tedious of polarization as god only knows we both need the floaters back.

aboveusonlypie...
If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

I'm not sure that "Floaters" was a wise choice of word...

I said the same to a guy who interviewed me today at the CC parade for BBC Radio
