| Would be good for Wire, Saints, Big One and Leeds games but apart from then we wouldn't come close to filling it.
Latics could probably get near full for Chelsea, Man United, City and Liverpool but I can't imagine them filling it for any other games.

For it to be financially viable, Latics would have to be in Europe (Europa/Champions League) and fill the stadium consistently and Wigan RL would have to be filling the stadium every week whilst winning trophies consistently.
Not going to happen...Latics can't fill the stadium nor will they ever get into Europe - in the interests of fairness, Wigan RL can't fill it either.

| Not a prayer for either team the demand simply isn't there and i'm not jealous of Warington for having a fully integrated stadium as there's is a relatively cheap stadium with absolutely no architectural features of any merit what so ever.

| One of the major problems with large closed in stadiums is the pitch sweats due to lack of air getting to the pitch.
You only have to look at the trouble Man U and Wembly have had with their pitches, constantly having to relay the pitch even halfway through the season. It happened at the DW last year and I remember some on here saying it was because Whelan scrimped a bit on the drainage.
If a ground as bad drainage you are asking for trouble having a closed in ground, this is one of the reasons Bolton Wanderers Reebock Stadiun as open corners,it was built on Horwich Moss.

| The one problem I have with the DW Stadium is that the corners aren't filled in and if that was the case the stadium would be awesome and the atmosphere would be even better. As previously said though it wouldn't be viable and I'm sure I heard it couldn't be done due to the concrete sides of the South and North Stands, might be wrong though.

I would just like to apologise for the misleading comment regarding the Reebock having open corners, what I have just realised is that the Reebock stands go completly round but the corners have very large open grill gates which are open most of the time therefore letting air into the stadium at ground level.

| I am pretty sure when Man U played there last season there was only 18k, and the biggest crowd for you guys is every second good friday, but I think it is fair to say that last year when there was 24k, pretty much everybody that wanted a ticket got one.
For the expense involved in building extra sections in the corner there would not be enough big games to ever pay for it.
I know you guys criticise your ground but for me it is a pretty decent arena, and it is the perfect size given your current support

| Simply not necessary. Only change I'd like to see to the ground is standing areas but that isn't going to happen for obvious reasons.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Can't happen. The supporting walls for the North and South stands make it impossible to put corners on. The only options for expansion at the stadium is second tiers on the West and East stands. We will never have the demand for it unless latics become a top 8 club and we can get all our day trippers to come every week.

Now that might get enough demand.
