unless he is a replacement for lima we already have one plodder - or supposed impact player. really dont think we need him, could do better'"
I don't know why I'm getting involved in this and perhaps it's taking this slightly off topic, but I do despair about some peoples opinions about RL. Lima didn't set the world alight in his first few games but since then he's been excellent. 90m+ per game is not a plodder.
v Warrington
Metres - 115m
Tackles - 20
Missed tackles - 1
Carries - 13
Errors - 0
Mossop made 1 more metre than him in 4 more carries. Is he a plodder?
He's an impact player because you think he is. No one from the club labelled him as a direct replacement for Feka. He does 60mins. Against one team earlier in the year we had no props and he played 70+mins with a strapped up calf in the second half. Now don't think I'm saying he's as good as Fielden in his prime but he's certainly a lot better than you're giving him credit.
Rant over. Back on topic please

Well said Brother. I was going to say something in regards to the 'Plodder' comment but didn't have the energy!

Like what? What more would you like him to do? Burst through every tackle and make 40+ metre a carry? Grow up. Jeff is our 2nd best prop behind Mossop.

Lauaki has given less penalties away than Coley or Lima and only one more than Prescott. He doesn't feature in the top 25 for penalties conceded.

Just give him a chance.

| Woeful signing. I hope to God it's only a 1-year deal.

| Just been looking at the stats also. If you don't rate him as a player fair enough, but why label him as a penalty machine, when the stats show us he isn't. As RG says, give the lad a chance. It's roundly accepted that Agar is a poor coach. With a better coach you may well see a different Lauaki

| If it's true (I'm not accepting it until it's confirmed by the Wigan club) then we have to give the lad a chance. He's not the penalty machine some make him out to be, and under a good coaching team in 2012 (anything is better than Agar) I'm sure he could be a shrewd signing.
Can't see him displacing anyone already here without massive effort though.

| He'll be at a more disciplined environment (I'd imagine) at Wigan.
So long as he can keep his cool and do what he does best, he'll be a good signing.

Just remind us again how many key players did Saints have missing in last years grand final ?
When did you actually last beat a strong Saints or Warringtom team ? Don't include beating us last year at the HJ, we had a lead of around 14pts and were cruising then we lost both Briers and Monaghan, another example of Wigan capitalising on other teams misfortunes.[/quote:qtnftxzx]

We also have 1 retiring, and 2 who will be coming back off long term injuries.
