| Made the most meters and was pretty high in the tackle count. injuries like peacock and McGuire will take till next season to really get over. Not sure if JP should be in the England team though. Just shows how crap our depth is, but that's what you get from a second rate comp

Surely if your national coach you can get a copy from the clubs video of the game with an unbiased view on it rather than them two pratts jibbering on about players reputation.
IMO Peacock was brilliant but he is finished, time to move on with the likes of Mossop.'"
Would love to see mossop in the 4 nations. Let's see what he's got at the next level. Can't see any point in fooking around with JP and Moz. It's not like we have a sniff so lets get the next lot ready to have a crack over the next 5 to 10 years.

You need to have a 'mean streak' in the front row, and IMHO, Mossop is a bit too young to take on the Ozzies. That's not to say he won't become a legend in the future , it is possible. He certainly plays well above his weight.

I agree with the JP sentimet but have to disagree about Moz. He is doing alright this season but may not be outstanding (by his standards). We could do with a bit of a transition period Graham and Burges (if fit) again are shoe ins. Crabtree has been knocking on the door for a couple of seasons. Realistically then who would be trusted? IMO Mossop could do with a year with England Knights but wouldn't be surprised if he makes the full Englad squad.
But I also think JP should be around the squad a bit like a role Radz didwith Smith.

| Peacock has been poor every time I have seen him this year and looks way past his best. Even last season he seemed to be going downhill. There is no way he should be selected for England in the 4 Nations, never mind be captain.

| It is time to move on from Peacock and Morley. As per the norm GB/England are quite strong fro numbers at prop.

| Wigooners obsessing over Leeds players....
It is your attitude that marks out a good rugby player, and JP has that in bucket loads. He leads from the front, and although he is close to his sell buy date, if you want to claim his International or Club spot, then you have to be better, not simply be younger.

| Peacock in terms of GB/Eng shouldn't be considered neither should Morley, i agree with GDMM on that, it's time to bring the new wave in.
Peacock still does a job in SL though and he kept out Ben Cross too

Thats the thing though, there are numerous players that are playing better. Age hasnt really got anything to do with it, if Peacock was still playing well he should be picked but he is not and instead looks well past it.
Also attitude alone will only take you so far and you need far more than that to be a good rugby player. Everything that Peacock had he seems to be losing rapidly and attitude alone isnt going to bust that tackle or make those last 2 yards to save a try. Peacock is struggling at SL level and will be a liability against NZ or Australia.

It takes much more than 9 months rehab and a 3rd of a season to get over a full knee reconstruction. Anyone with sense can see that. JP came to the game later than most so still has a lot less miles on the clock than Moz and co.
I think you hope he's done. But really you are not been neutral. You use it as another dig at Leeds.

Fair enough, but even having such an optimistic outlook and believing he'll get back to his best, why was he selected for the mid season test and named captain for the Four Nations in the meantime?

Check any of my previous posts and tell me if I am anywhere near as Anti Leeds as you and Billy Boy are anti Wigan. I wished I'd enough time on my hands to put as much on the Wigan board as BillyRhino!
Is Peacock anywhere near the player he was 3 years ago?
Will he ever be the player he was 3 years ago?
He's a Good SL forward, not a great one like ue used to be.
Playing in the current Leeds team under the current coaching system isn't helping but he will never be the player he was.

| You lot only have to put up with him when the internationals are around! The Rhinos fans on the other hand have to put up with his direness every week. If he can improve drastically from here till the four nations then yes he deserves a chance. Needs to cut out the errors and high tackles though. Having a mixed game isn’t good enough in a top game. Leeds would have been absolutely mulled if Peacock made the same mistakes against a top team. Thankfully Leeds were only playing Hull.
