The markers should have dealt with it every time,'"
Our marker defence was pathetic in the 2nd half.
I'm sure it's one of a few things that will be worked very hard on though the week.

They probably learned it off us. All through the 'monster pack' years that Bradford had we used these plays to great effect against them and whenever we did beat them it was a significant factor in nullifying their forwards. It's a basic approach but shifting forwards one way then turning them sharply the other quickly drains stamina and it's something they did to great effect last night in the 2nd half. At least 2 of their tries came about through either one of the front 4 missing a tackle (flat footed) or being pulled out of position through tiredness. Fielden and Riddell were 2 examples of that.

I agree with you on this point, did nothing tonight.
Plus he played less than 20 mins again.
For me both Prescott and O'Carroll should have a place on the bench before feka.
I think Feka and Riddell should be the first out of the door at the end of the season, they just aren't good enough.

i honestly cant see feka being here next season, i dont think m.m will carry him defensivly.
with coley and fielden playing longer stints last night, fatigue was bound to catch up with them, and it was inevitable we'd get out down the middle like we did.can this team carry two props(feka and o'carroll)who only play in short stints??
think last night shows how important lee mossop is to us.

Yes agree with you, Lee Mossop has been outstanding so far this season.

He will be back next week . Think Coley will be rested if my little bird tweets the truth. Coley has been having pain killing injections in his sternum for a couple of games now. I would bring back Prescott too for Feka.

| Feka missed a few tackles when he came on, he looked great in attack but was letting himself down in defence again. I feel he may get dropped again next week.

| Quote: NickyKiss "Is it just me who can't figure out why he had so little time again tonight?
He looked dangerous with the ball and didn't seem by any means out on his feat. I'm all for Maguire leaving players on who are preforming well but tonight I thought he went a little away from that with Feka and to a lesser extent O'Carroll. I know Fielden and Coley have started the season well but I thought both were a little down on their seasons form tonight and the minutes possibly could have been rotated a little better.
I also thought we missed that 5th prop option in Mossop although I realise they needed to rest him tonight.'"
Yeah I know why he played so little last night, is because the lad is poor. It has been my opinion for a season or two now. As for Mossop we missed his hard running, size and enthusiasum. I know we are building for the future, but for me end of the year Feka I feel we should let Feka go, unless he is prepaired to put the work in like Stuart & Andy.

I'd have to agree. While he may have lost a lot of weight he still not performing to the required level an experienced prop should, unless he bucks up his ideas I find it hard to believe he'll be offered a new contract. Again he was not the reason we lost the game, that was more of a collective effort from all the team, but when you start adding everything up from last night's game it's easy to see why we lost.

No, we shouldn't use him as an escape goat for last night, as a individual he needs to up his game. As for the result we should have been out of sight after the first 40, too much dropped ball and forcing the pass when we should have been patient.

I don't agree that he's poor tbh but I can see he has areas he really needs to brush up on. I thought last night was just about the best he's played this year but he again didn't get many minutes and it's going to be a struggle to get the lads fitness up without giving him a run in the side.
I can't can't help but look at props like Fielden, Coley, O'Carroll ect and see that their game comes naturally to them. They run the ball in, they get up and play the ball, they tackle all on instinct and their fitness lets them do that whereas Feka's game looks a little forced at the moment. He looks like he's really having to push himself back into the defensive line, out of marker in defence and into position to take the ball in because he looks unsure of whats expected of him. To me whats being asked of him as that he plays as a 'proper' prop forward who gets through stacks of work but he still doesn't look to be in the right condition to do that.
I hope he can get there but I fully agree that he's struggling for a new deal as it stands.

It should have been another 38/40-0 in that first half last night but we showed a real lack of composure. The first half if anything was too easy and the players obviously believed the hype.

| We cannot afford to play someone who, in his last two games, has only done approx 10 minutes against Wire approx 20 minutes against Bradford.
He may look good taking the ball up, but he cannot tackle.
A prop who cannot tackle!
He is a liability and it is just not fair to other players that he is part of the 17.
We would be better of all round with a front row that comprises any two from Fielden, Coley, Prescott, O`Carrol and Mossop.
