Phil Clarke enquired as to why he can get into a top 4 team and not Wigans who are in the bottom half?

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

Because we have a plethora of good back row forwards. Hock, O'Loughlin, Bailey, Tomkins and Hansen.
He'll be back at Wigan next season when Bailey goes.
Liam Farrell will be the next to go out on loan.

| We need a right sided 2nd rower who can make the same impact as Hock on the left. Gleeson and Roberts are as good as Carmont & Richards they just don't have a 2nd rower of the calibre of Hock alongside them.
Hansen plays left and Joel doesn't have the required impact.
If Mossop does well at Hudds and Brown seems keen to keep him, then maybe he could come in and force his way into the first team in front of Joel. Hansen could be under threat from Mossop too next year as there are others too like Farrell.

Yes, ran a great line for a very good try
Surely he is worth a spot in our 17 for next season?
He has a great build to be a really strong running right hand 2nd rower for us and given time would make that position his own IMO

If Bailey doesnt go its a disgrace. Mossop, Farrell and Flannagan need first team rugby.

Massively impressed by Mossop last night - the lad is raw boned, seems to have a bit of speed about him and due to his size will be difficult to stop as he develops. Should be the ideal complement on the right in 2010 to Hock on the left. Bailey's days are numbered, whilst Hansen / Tomkins should be looking over their shoulders given neither have shown any real form this season, Farrell is ripping it up in the reserves and Flanagan also looks to have potential. One of those two should be given a chance next week in Hock and Lockers absence.

I actually agree, we cannot justify using a quota space in the secondrow, especially with a solid at best player.
Even on a reduced contract i cannot see how we could justify re-signing him for 2010. Some seem to suggest if we cannot fill our quota spots for next year he will re-sign. I personally would rather go into the season a quota spot and player down and see who becomes available mid season as invariably someone always does.

| I cant see Bailey being offered a new contract when we have lads on a fraction of his wages in the reserves

Yup. Think Paul Rowley actually coached him for a period at Westleigh High, though Moore played his amateur rugby for Blackbrook when he was on Saints scholarship IIRC.
