| Wouldn't be the worst deal IMO. Mickey Mac is a solid player who will get better but his injury record is poor. Scott Moore has suffered at Saints this year because he's been shunted around positionally to accomodate Cunningham and Roby when all three have been fit, often playing in the halves. Moore showed at Huddersfield the year before that he's a quality hooker though and is also an 80-minute player there, which would be good for us as it means Tommy can stay at 7. All speculation at the minute mind but I'd be far happier with our recruitment next year if a genuine replacement for Piggy comes in

| Scott Moore has been found out as a very limited rugby player who has problems just catching and passing the ball. Tomorrow night they are without Lomax/Eastmond/Pryce and he isnt even in the 17. Should be nowhere near Wigan's side

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

Agreed. I don't rate Scott Moore one bit, and I feel next year he'll be exposed for just how poor he is.

| The Scott Moore of Huddersfield, absolutely.
The Scott Moore of Saints, shney.
We've seen the ability and the potential of Scott Moore in a Giants shirt. I think the reason he's been average this year is because of the pressure piled on him to fill Kieron Cunningham's shoes, a St Helens legend.

He's a cracking little player, and that's a good shout about the pressure on him.
It's only natural to compare players in positions, and in Cunningham (a Saints' favourite) and Roby, who's had a good season it's not easy for him.

| If we were to go after an english hooker, i'd be more interested in Lunt at Huddersfield, he's been shoved into the 2nd row to accomodate Brough, Robinson, Brown & Faiumu.

It's madness, would gladly take him.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I'm sure I've heard we're putting a bid on for Lunt, weren't that on here or have I heard it elsewhere?

| Unless we can sign a top quality hooker, I'd rather give Leuluai a full pre season under Maguire and Wane training at hooker and see how things go.
He's obviously not going to give us the direction of Riddell, but he could be a whole lot better than he is at the moment when he is just doing 10 minutes here and there when necessary.
I'd despair if we signed the likes of Withers or Randall. Solid players but not the standard a table topping team should be going anywhere near.
I'd be similarly unenthusiastic with Lunt, although I probably haven't seen enough of him at hooker to make a fair assessment.
Regards a swap deal McIlorum for Moore, I'd like to see if MM can get a full pre season in and get a good run of matches without injury to really judge him first. If Moore could show the form he did for Huddersfield he'd be a decent signing.

| Given the reasons we have passed up to sign other players Lunt would be well left alone.
Hargeaves at the Roosters has to be a major target for us to replace Coley or Fielden. The kid is going to be huge.

| Ive heard from 2 different people that Wigan are looking at Chris Sandow.
Cant say these 2 people are "reputable" sources though.
Id be gutted if it was true. Id rather we got rid of Eastmond and signed Sandow.

Would be a hell of a signing if it came off, but my main concern would be his ability to settle in the UK.
Fantastic player who is only going to get better, but in truth i would rather stick with TL at 7 and sign a top notch 9.
