| Quote sergeant pepper="sergeant pepper"The benefits of a team that's on the same page out weighs the potential for injury imo.
What we need more than anything is our players playing on the same wave length.
I can't think of anything worse for us than constantly changing the sides.
One week off next season 3 tough games with our fullest and fittest squad then one play off game and another rest.'"
Where have i said constantly changing sides. Seems some are getting really hung up on finishing 1 or 2nd. Makes no difference where you finish in the top 2 as Saints and Leeds have been playing well recently and either is a tough game. Going all out in a Derby against Saints a week before will give Leeds if its Leeds we play a better chance for me than if we rest a few. Especially Hock after what happened last time we played them. If we play Saints and they need to win to stay in the top 4 i would send 1 or 2 squad players who will not feature in the play offs to start trouble as Saints do with Hock.
Wane needs to use his common sense and do what Tony Smith has just done this week. Thrown a game away and not risked any of his bigger players for the bigger price next weekend. If they win it then all Wire fans will have forgotten about today's game.

You want to put a scratch side out vs Saints at home?
Why do we need to rest players? We've got two weeks rest in the next 6?
What we need is a constant team playing week in week out togthadverts/d ... ?adid=59er and building up confidence with back to back wins including Saints.
That's common sense not resting a load of players and risking losing the final league game of the season going into the playoffs.

I would rest certain players.
Sam, Carmont, Finch, MM, Mossop and Lockers. Most of them have played almost every game this season. I am not talking about doing a Widnes as so many on here actually agreed with Wane at the time. That would give players like Fielden, Murphy, Tomkins (L), Gelling a run out as they will or might need to come in during the play offs and i do think they needs a run out in the side.

| I honestly can't see Wane resting anyone v Saints. The Salford and HKR games, maybe, but not that one.

| The only way we should rest anyone is if they're carrying an injury, in which case that's just common sense.
When we kick off against Hull KR we'll have played once in the 21 days before the game, and that's plenty of rest.

| I'm not sure why anyone is surprised.
The equation is quite simple.
GF > CC > Hubcap
CC used to be the "big" event of RL. It isn't anymore since the GF has replaced it as the premier knockout competition.
The regular SL season? Well unless you are a club on the margins, it really means very little at all.

| Look at the long term.
Wire still had five 30+ers in their team tonight (they rested the others)
Their younger players failed big time.
The Wigan U20 team wouldn't have got beaten like that.
How do they fill those gaps?

| I shall assume the Rugby League community will be out in their droves tomorrow casting aspersions on Wire for "disrespecting" London and turning out a weaker team.

No but it is still a trophy and tonight result means we are set for at least 4 trophies in the last 3 years - something that would have been unthinkable a few years ago.

Warrington: Riley; Evans, Bridge, Atkins, Williams; Ratchford, Myler; Morley, M Monaghan, Wood, McCarthy, Waterhouse, Grix.
Replacements: Cooper, Blythe, Hill, Solomona.
That side should have been capable of beating London.
