| Quote AJ="AJ"Exactly, im not asking for him to name them on Boots n All, but point the drug testers there way.'"
I knew what you meant, but the players are tested 12 months of the year. Is it two per game get selected? They turn up uninvited and the player or players have to give a sample. If he was found out in November then that just proves that it can be any time any where. There will be more than him who know which players do it, we as fans know some. Its been one hell of a year so far, Huddersfield, Cats now this.

| I wouldn't ban them for all their career I would up the ban from 2 years to 4 years.
It may aswell be a lifetime ban because 4 years out of the game is a long time to just come back, 2 years isn't so bad ala Hudson, Hock, Barnet, Allen, Sailor.
If it was a 4 year ban a current superleague player would end up in NL 2 at best if they did come back.

| I think Cullen made his point very clear on Boots n All about what drugs are being used in the sport. When you think of drugs most people think of Cocaine and other such drugs, but what he seems to imply that is rife in the sport is Growth Hormone drugs. Players are under the myth they can get away with it and he was making it very clear and kept repeating the same point - they can't!

He did seem pretty on point about it, he really grilled Spence from the RFL.
As Carney said, 2 years isn't enough, the sanctions need to be stronger.

It's not very often that I watch Boots 'n' All and enjoy Paul Cullen's segment because half the time I find he's waffling. But I couldn't agree more.
Paul Cullen was excellent on Boots 'n' All tonight, his passion to get RL as clean as possible has to be admired and copied by senior staff at all clubs and at the RFL.

When I was going on the lash through the nineties and onwards, if anyone wanted any drugs (not that I nor any of my mates did), then it could be obtained from a friend of a friend of a friend. I must admit the drug culture has never affected me and if you don't go looking for it you won't see it........
........And then a couple of weekends ago, I ended up in Indiependance (used to be fifteen), I was stood having a slash in the upstairs bogs and two lads at the side of me were openly sniffing cocaine and bragging how good 'the stuff' was!
Now, if it was done in the cubicles that's one thing (thats kind of hiding it), but the fact was they were completely uninterested in the fact that I was stood at the side of them - I could have been anyone (off duty copper, owner of the gaff)...????
I must be getting old, but I do fear for my two young lads who will be hitting the 'delights' of King Street in the next 10-12 years!!!'"
I'm round Wigan quite regularly, and the only time i've ever seen anything was a group of girls passing each other what i'm guessing were pills in Walkabout and that was ages ago. I have heard the snorting in toilets on occasion though.

drugs are rife in every town in the UK.
every single busy pub in every half busy town has coke being snorted in the toilets.
however its very rare the people get offered drugs in pubs.
dealers dont walk around asking people 'want any coke mate'
your kids wont be offered drugs..... but if they go looking for them they will find them easily.

| I agree with drug's being more available now.
When I first started going out, it was rare.
Now it is almost celebrated, and those not taking it are treated as the strange ones!

Matty B you are obviously the same age as me and I agree the culture has changed dramatically. My lad is 17 and to be honest I cringe when he says he wants to go into Wigan on a Friday or Saturday and i have so far managed to dissuade him. When I was younger and had a few beers, the last thing i wanted to do was get into a scrap. Problem is some drug users are just so blatant and thing they are "big time Charlies" then that can lead to an inevitable " kick off" when some innocent gets injured or even worse. If you are taking drugs then you clearly have something sadly very wrong in your life. As for Newton if it is proven (and so far we do not have the results of the tests) he must need his head examining. What kind of a man with family responsibilities risks everything for that?
