i would.
tommy at 9, macca on the bench, smith at 7, and sam t at 6.
sam t could fill in at 9 if need be.
we have pryce as back up for 6, sam can go 7.
IF piggy goes i would spend the money on a decent prop.

That would be ideal.
Mcc looks better with every game and Tommy will only improve as he plays more and more games in the role not having to revert back to a 7.
No point spending money on a 9 when the CAP would be better spent in other areas.

I agree. I can't see that having Mac and Tommy as our interchange hookers is particularly controversial. Especially if it means the money can be spent on acquiring a quality player for another more needy position.
That said, it couldn't happen easily. Unless Riddell was willing, we wouldn't be able to just 'get rid'.

True. I don't know how true the 'Home sick' rumours are, but for me, he won't be a great loss.
Would be interesting to see if at this stage people would sooner have Riddell, or his cap space to help sign players in other positions.

I think at least 95% would say the cap space tbh but it's unlikely he'll leave imo.
We best hope he comes good. I thought last week was a step in the right direction.

Well I would.
Offloading
Bailey
Coley
Smith
Phelps
Goulding
Riddell
Could really generate some good cap space to bring in some quality players.

I've seen flashes of ability. But he doesn't do anything like as much work off the ball as Mac, and he certainly doesn't have Tommy's scooting prowess.
You don't get a decent rep in the NRL for nothing. But he wouldn't be the first to come here assuming it'll be so easy that he doesn't even need to get fit.

That's the thing, many in the NRL said he had a 1 great game in every 5.
Also he's always had fitness and weight issues, hence why St George got shut.
I remember him at both Dragons and Eels, never really stood out, had the occasional good game but never was someone I would have wanted at our club.
I thought Danny B at Leeds would have been a better signing despite being older. He was a natural leader (capt of NSW and Aus) and was quicker round the play of the ball. Had good experience which our younger players could have benefitted from.

Pity Wigan didn't recognise the potential of Tommy as a 9 and McC coming through. I think they can both be better than Piggy and Micky given a good run both at 9 on the interchange.

Smith looks like he's leaving, I dont think Pryce is anywere near good enough now to play 6, we still need a 6, ( IMO Sam looks like a good 7 ) and, in my opinion 2 new props !!
