No but I don't think it's fair for me to say who it is either unless the club announce it. I presume last time the player didn't want it known so this could be the same. Rubbish situation for all clubs.

| Few too many errors, but thankfully our defence was superb

You men play like that for the rest of the season and you’ll not be at the bottom long. Here’s hoping you can get a few more bodies back.

| Majority of the game was Havard, Sharrocks and Partington as our middle 3 against grown men with plenty of super league experience. Was it perfect ? Nope. But this experience is invaluable.
French outstanding again.
Gildart best game since return, his carries were really good.
Rest all the semi final team on Tuesday.

| Some really good scores tonight. A joy to watch French with that amazing side step. Gilly made some good breaks and hard yards. Faz was just Faz that's what we come to expect from him. Got to mention Bibby and his two try saving tackles. Defence was solid in the second half and was what won us the game. Credit to Wakefield they were unlucky on several occasions and looked dangerous in attack.

| Shorrocks has been superb since coming in to the team. I can’t help but feel that Smithies must be sat out on the sidelines wondering what a big error his ban could be because on this seasons form you cannot give Shorrocks place back to him. I’m a huge fan of Smithies and feel he’ll go on and captain us and possibly England but he had his first poor spell as a first team player after lockdown and guys like Shorrocks, Partington and Havard shouldn’t lose their spots anytime soon.
It’s a great problem to have!

| I’m not usually one to moan about a referee but I thought Childs was awful tonight. He got some blatant calls massively wrong and as good as Wakefield were, it put us under even more pressure time after time. Nevertheless, we did what we needed to do to win and even with a rotated team that type of gritty performance should give us a boost going into the derby. IMO Joe Shorrocks doesn’t look out of place whatsoever in that first team - great Player!

| I'm not knocking Isa's contribution over last few months or the fact he's a very good squad player but when everyone is fit i can't help feeling his i inclusion in team is just going to be holding back the likes of Smithies and Shorrocks to name but two

Child.
I thought we got the rub of the green with the Powell try at one end then the Wakey no try at the other shortly after. Both could, and arguably should, have gone Wakey's way, different game then if we lose 6 points and they gain 6.

Equally, Wakey shouldn't have had the ball for their no try because whilst Tommy knocked it out, Johnstone had knocked on.

Fair enough. I just noticed two massive points related decisions that went our way in quick succession. I thought Powell knocked on for his try, and Bibby knocked the ball back for their disallowed try. Understandable why the Video Ref went with the on field decision for both though.
