Is there anything to take legal action over? The only thing she said directly against the club is that we are terrible

There's a definite argument to be said that even if she isn't accusing Wigan of those things, Wigan are the only club that can be identified (because we're the only UK club he's played for) and so it's an association. If I was Wigan I'd be at least having her change her words up to differentiate between a club she is accusing of racism and one she is simply stating terrible.

Well, quite. I wasn't suggesting 'legal action' as such, but thought there might be some kind of statement.

There is a newspaper article from aus now doing the rounds of frank him self slagging the club off, saying we didn’t care about his family when he wanted to leave. The club need to respond.

It’s interesting where he says I know the truth and I’ve got proof. Proof of what exactly? That his family didn’t want to be here and he wanted to go home? Not really headline news.

I’m sure he would have got release a lot earlier if it wasn’t for last years injury crisis. As he said he was under contract, also as he said he could have retired so why didn’t he? Money one presumes.

I take this as him spitting his dummy out of the pram because he couldn’t get what he wanted when he wanted it.

That story is such a non-event now. The allegations of racism aside. They've both had a paddy because they wanted everything and a bag to put it in. Clearly used us as a plan B when he couldn't get a better deal in the NRL and obviously thought he could just walk away from any contract. He was a flat track bully on the pitch and went missing in hard games and it's echoed with his attitude here.

You’ve got to love the bloke. This guy was talking about how Wigan was his new family during his time here.

The useless pudding couldn’t be bothered being here because it was probably harder work then the retirement home I’m sure he envisaged. It took the motivation of a potential move home to help him get rid of his beer belly (aka his Wigan holiday weight).

Hope he enjoys his spell in the Roosters reserves.

Well, I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Wigan, but I just find all this hard to believe. I've been coming to our games at your place since the mid 80's (still miss coming to Central Park now to be honest) and have never heard any racial abuse and the club has always seemed, from an outsider point of view, to value and look after it's players. How he can moan about a club 'playing hardball' releasing him from a contract that he signed is laughable anyway. The club have every right to do what they want - he signed the thing!

I think we're all waiting with interest for some clarification from the person who first made the accusation.

Racism seems a bit of a stretch given our history with players of all colours and creeds dating back a long, long time. You can never account for individuals, of course, but to level an accusation of racism at the club itself seems, frankly (pun intended), bizarre!
