Gelling doesn't look like he's played RL before. Makes the most basic plays look difficult. I admire Wigan as a club in terms of giving youth a chance and having a fantastic scouting network, but Wigan have got this one wrong. Awful player.

(IMO) Very harsh, we have had several forwards much worse than him.

We got an 'A - one duck egg' when Sean Long went the other way.

I find it amazing that 99% of the people that select their scapegoats every season have little or no Rugby League coaching knowledge and yet seemingly know more about these players than the people who actually sign, play and pay to play them. I'd just like to have a situation in that each and every single Warriors fan supports whoever pulls on the Wigan shirt because thats what fans are supposed to do. Not to believe that they are better suited to decide who should and shouldn't play for Wigan.

Like I said when the players do well they get the praise, when a player makes errors on a regular basis they will be criticised for it. Praise goes hand in hand with criticism, do well and you receive the former, poor and you get the latter. Does that mean the people who see errors don't support the club or lack loyalty? Not at all, they just have a balanced view and see both sides of the coin.

Also, too many fans make the mistake of thinking any player getting criticism will make them worse! I'm willing to bet that any criticism on here of any player doesn't affect them in the slightest, and is nothing compared to what Waney will be saying to them! A good player will respond by getting better, not sulking.

But the coaching staff who see these lads every day and know them inside out didn't think he was good enough. If Wane and Harris think Gelling is our best option then I'm willing to accept that.

In the interest of fairness, it turns out Thornley's decision making after making a break is about as good as Gelling's! Thornley had his moments in attack and is a strong lad but just like Gelling he still has a lot to learn.

Like Gelling he aint a winger and thats pretty obvious.
