It didn't feel must win tonight. The crowd have shown that. I didn't turn up thinking, 'if we lose tonight it could cost us our whole season'
If most people are thinking that then the attendnace is no surprise. I was more up for the Wire home game. I felt more gutted after that than I do tonight. The League is still the be all and end all for me, no matter how much they jazz the Premiership trophy up.

So you don't have a say or even own your own ground?
Warrington only have small ground as your fans say but then again they own it.

You are right ..... it is a small ground .... and it takes a visit from us or Saints to fill it for you .... remember your fans only turn out in numbers for Wembley

It's leased.
That's because in our town we have two teams in the biggest leagues in their respective sports. HTH

You want to go to the new Wembley it's lovely been there a couple of times i'll pass the details on if you require.
Might take visits from away fans to fill it but it ours and we don't have to bow down to football who get less support than yourselves.

| History books will give you little credit if you don't win the Grand Final. By belittling the play-offs, you sound like you are already conceding defeat. People will remember the Challenge Cup winners and the Grand Final winners.
I agree that the top eight is too many. The old top six format was better, where you could win one game to get to the Grand Final. The current format is there to protect the bottom half, not reward the top half, as there would be too many meaningless games half way through the season for the bottom five or six clubs. For example, had you won tonight, it would have been ludicrous that you could be denied Old Trafford by losing to the same team again in two weeks team. As it happens, you can dump them out, because Saints are bound to pick Wire.

Says who? I will remember watching a fantastic season of RL played by Wigan rewarded with a trophy whatever happens next. In contrast we have in the past few seasons got to the semi final after some very poor league campaigns and I for one do not think winning three or four games in an end of season knock-out makes up for being short changed over 27 rounds. Cups are one off games and the GF is a cup competition.
The idea you can be poor for a whole season yet this can all be forgotten if you win a short knock-out competition has always been an example of the emperors new clothes syndrome at its best. I can't beleieve people fall for it. Unless you watch every league game and don't give a stuff about any of the results then the league is an important competition. And if you really don't give a stuff about the league why bother going at all? Save your money and only watch the play offs. And just for the record I posted the same thing in 1998 on Usenet when we won it.

| I thought it was disappointing to be honest.
Good following by Leeds on Sunday night though.

| I'm not familiar with the pricing structure at Wigan - how does the average price of a 2010 season ticket for Adults, Concessions and Juniors compare to the price for the Leeds game yesterday? Is the price the only factor or do the club run other regular season incentives such as freebies?
I know it will never happen but the most useful data clubs could publish would be match ticket revenue per game. It is the most important and telling statistic.
