Thats stupid, metres per game is far more telling. It shows the work put in over the entire game rather than a one off carry. It's better to do consistent runs and not necessarily make many metres per carry but make a lot overall than do a few big runs and have a higher metres per carry stat. For example Fielden has a higher metres per carry than Graham but Graham has made 100m per game more than him. Which would you rather have?
