Well yes, obviously it matters.
Any business knows that finding new customers is much harder than retaining existing ones. In the world of sponsorship if you can develop genuine, long-lasting relationships it can be really significantly beneficial.
But it also suggests other things that could also affect people who spend corporate money below the club's headline dealswhy[/i don't sponsors renew? Some will inevitably have just wanted it to be for one year, end of story. Fine. But that is not usually the case and I have absolutely no doubt the club is concerned at their inability to forge some of the long-lasting corporate partnerships which are the bedrock of the finances for other clubs. |
