Scott Dureau (sp) would also be in with a shout especially if Le Cats kick on. He is the best opposition player that I have seen at Wigan this season.

Scott Parker didn't win the equivalent of the Man of Steel (chosen by the players), Gareth Bale did. Parker won the football writers and there's no way on earth had he played for Wigan or Stoke he would have been voted for the London centric football journos.

| If Roby wins it nobody can argue really. Maybe he will give to Trent Barratt to replace the one he stole from him a few years ago! That was a joke!!
Sam has been fantastic as has lockers.
I'd like to see Lockers win it.
I don't think Sam is popular amongst opposition players to get their votes which is unfair but thats the way it is.

| Who do you reckon for rookie of the year. I have a financial interest in Charnley, who must be in the running. Lomax also springs to mind.

Lord Mossop of Charnley. He sounds posh.
Lomax will win the Rookie award anyway. He's had a great season.

I beginning to see a trend. They don't have to be Wigan players you know.
Foster would get it ahead of Charnley anyway, like it or not.
And how old is Mossop? He'd certainly be in with a shout if he's young enough.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

You can talk about stats all you want but the crucial stat for a winger is probably tries scored. Foster, at the moment has scored more. Foster has also made less errors. Two pretty big stats when discussing a winger.
Charnley has also been exposed in defence quite often.
Don't get me wrong, Charnley is a great young player and should have a big future ahead him. But you don't have to make a case for each and every Wigan player. You are the unltimate cock measurer.

totally agree with the lockers comment.

Charnley's stats are better for a reason. Judging Foster purely as a winger he's basically a younger Daz Goulding. If he wasn't an immense goal-kicker nobody would really notice his play. He's solid and rarely makes an error but do you think Foster could have scored the try Charnley scored against Wire in the CC?
