I also think our shirt is pap, but always like to buy something to put in to the club coffers. Wire training gear this year, if people want to help the club just don't buy the crappy shirt and get a nice jacket or top with the crest on.

Some may actually like this shirt? Are you serious! Out of 461 posts no more than twenty have said they like it. Not many on here have sad empty lives in fact I think the majority of posters were hoping that this years kit would be a winner so as to make the club loads of cash, simply because they love the club and what it stands for. The club has shot itself in the foot and the sad, empty people are just stating that the club should realise that Cherry and White is WIGAN RUGBY.

I'm pinning my hope on training gear because IMHO I think the 'champions 2010' polos and hoodies look cheap.

Have all 16,000 wigan fans have posted in this thread? Come Feb next year we will have sold thousands of those shirts. Like it or lump it.

I think I will wait until they go half price before shelling out for it - the way the reaction is on here, that will be sooner rather than later!

but surely you will have sold thousands less than you would have if the thing was cherry and white, its that simple. people will buy it, just not as many as would if it was anything like a good shirt. or even the right colours.

A shirt is as good as a name, it's part of the club and it's traditions.
If pemps designs had been the 2011 shirt i'd stick my neck out and say it would have probably been the biggest selling shirt the'y have sold for 2 reasons
1) It shouts 'Wigan', it's simple and traditional
2) It's the year after winning the league, some of the glories would have come out the woodwork and want to be associated with the club again.

The new shirt is s*it, anyone who is buying it is doing so out of blind loyalty, this will be the 2nd season on the run not having a shirt, and I've had one every year since '98.

The champions range is a good choice of stuff, but looks cheap and the SL logo is the wrong colour.

I really hope the training range and the clubs own leisure range for 2011 are an improvement on whats on sale so far!

I agree about the Kooga champions range. I was lucky enough to get one of the black "champions" T-shirts (made by "Starworld" - better quality, yet cheaper) before they ran out and the Kooga range came in.

However I have no issues with anyone liking the shirt or purchasing one, just not for me (and quite a few others i'm afraid).
