I think he has been the supreme professional, and a credit to himself and the game.
Superb tonight, and I respect his decision, even if it it a regrettable one for all of us. As the old saying goes, better to finish with us all wanting more, asking why don't you, rather than why didn't you.

He took a knock last night and was hobbling about for a while. Can't understand why SW didn't take him off. We were completely in control and had won the game but for some reason he stayed on despite Jack Hughes on bench. We need to wrap the guy in cotton wool!!

Carmont looked as good last night as I've ever seen him play. He looks like he's easily got another season in him, and will be missed big time next season.

That happens in so many games though. He starts hobbling, sometimes quite badly, the physio comes on, gives the thumbs up and within a few minutes he's scored a try. Then he hobbles again, then the coach takes another player off rather than Carmont and he ends up finishing the game. |

I understand there's listening to a player saying he's alright in early season, but in such a critical time of the year we can't afford any key players injured. He took Sam and Lockers off but kept him on, daft if you ask me |
