Does this include the try where he just watched the Dragon (Menzies was it?) jump on the loose ball for the try despite having about 5 yards on him? Criminal defending.

| It's always been a level playing field. Just because some other teams chose not to spend as much doesn't mean it wasn't possible for them to do so. An unlevel playing field would have been rules in place preventing teams from competing, which never existed - it was always down to the choice of the other teams. And Wigan were NEVER the only full-time team, and certainly not for the entire 8 years.
Even now, most clubs don't spend the full cap, so it's not a level playing field now, according to your twisted logic.

| Something I was thinking earlier...
Have the players who we have brought in this season disrupted the way we play?
Hoffman has already showed he is a quality player and a very good signing but we have an abundance of 2nd rowers.
Lima so far has spent more time banned than playing.
And finally with Finch, we have seen glimpses of what he can do, but so far plays seems to stop or lose momentum when he gets the ball.
No doubt these players have added to the strength of the squad, but maybe there's more to this. Suppose we will only truly find out in October...

Level playing field? You're apparently a Leeds fan, but clearly know nothing of the history of your own club. You have embarrassed yourself.

Level playing field?? was that in 2001 when wigan were allowed to spend 1 million more than the rest of superleague because of the massive wage bill??
Or in 2007 when Wigan spent an extra £222314 over the cap to survive relagation???

4486_1428087820.png Newsnight 13th May 2010: "With the role of Deputy Prime Minister a non-job. Has Nick Clegg gone from King Maker to tea maker????"
I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew

Saints fan talking about a breach of the salary cap. How ironic!

A Saints fan talking about salary cap breaches
You're either a really poor troll or your knowledge of RL can be written on a postage stamp.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Fielden crossed my mind last night too. Does make you wonder.

| I feel, Gleeson made Goulding look good.
We definately need a organiser @ hooker, we need another top class centre to replace Glesson and perhaps its time we brought Pyrce back from Harlequins.
The team needs a bit of a kick and if there is some issues left over from the Gleeson senario then they need to be aired in a behind the doors team meeting and we need to move on. Because the home form is nothing short of sh@t and has been for a bit (in big games), and with a packed house & Saints coming in 2 weeks we could get another kicking.
Not knee jerk, just worried.

Might it be fair to say that the intensity of that recent Wire/Wigan game may have taken a little bit of oomph out of both sides??...
Certainly, from a Wire point of view, it appears we are struggling to raise our game mentally, after what was a pretty outstanding effort at your place...Also, a few guys are obviously struggling stamina-wise.
I noticed something similar in your game with Leeds, and I presume you performed with the same lack of energy last night too?

| Quote: Geoff "Marsh should be one of the first names on the teamsheet after tonight's performance.
Farrell's injured.'"
The effort from Marsh tonight was outstanding, if more experienced members of the team had shown half of it, then we would have been ok.
Still think he should be a winger rather than a centre, as I think he's got higher potential than Goulding in the long term, but never seems to want to pass. He does have one valuable asset that can't be coached - raw pace.
