That is my fear about Carmont for next year, particulalry if we are relying on him to be our main centre next season. This season seems to have really taken its toll and he has seemingly been injured in many of the games this year. Yes there have been spells when he has been sensational, and I really hope its the case next year too, but I just have a feeling next year may be a season too far. It is certainly a big risk if we are not signing a right centre either as if he does get a bad injury we could really be struggling out wide.

I wouldn't mind Deacon next year. But he'd have to be the back up player with Mellor getting the 6 shirt (more figuratively, rather than literally). If we aren't going to sign a HB then we have to be expecting mellor to step up, with Deacon ready to step in if Mellor has a bad patch of form.

We need a line breaker. Finch is a superb player. His kicking game is fantastic and he can create opportunities for players, but we need someone who can break the line and has real evasiveness/agility/pace. Jonny Lomax is an example of player that would compliment Finch (and vice versa). Rangi Chase would be the same. Whether Joe Mellor is up to it I don't know as he hasn't been given a game!

Eh? Your saying you have info that Wigan are sending a young player on loan to Cas but you dont think Wigan will let any young players go to Cas because of Millward?

Really do not understand the issue with Millward with some fans or indeed why the club would have any problem with him. He is an excellent coach, he was on a hiding to nothing with us, but his experience and style of play I fell would greatly benefit a young half back for example.

This was always the problem I had with moving Sam back to fullback. Yes it has been a success from Sam's point of view but I feel the balance of the team, or threat down the middle of the park has been compromised due to the fact we miss a strike half in at first receiver. Chase and in time I think Mellor too could be the answer to that problem but I feel Mellor will be brought through to replace Finch and hopefully we can snare Chase and give us an extra threat running at the big forwards not just looking at using Sam out wide.

An attacking threat in the middle would also benefit Sam as the forwards would be less able to drift to where he is giving him more space if we had a line breaking half in the middle supporting the offloads of Hock and Lauaki next year.
