They are two cruel blows for Saints. The game can never be risk free and we have to be careful that everything isn’t a ban but I’m surprised more has not come of the incidents. Fingers crossed the two players make full recoveries.

Terrible that and a massive blow for both the players themselves and the club. I thought the Paasi tackle looked really dodgy when I saw it (I didn't see the Walmsley one) and was surprised when more wasn't made of it. I've a lot of time for Leigh at the moment but they need to get right on top of this straight away. 2 season ending injuries in one game from a single player is not a good look.

Does anyone think for one minute that Asiata will risk himself a serious head injury just to tackle an opponent around the legs?

Seriously? Thought you were a little bit better than that. Poster provides a justification for your player's actions, and you come out with a dig at a player, in a different match, no more than fully committed to a tackle? Forget about your inferiority complex for a few weeks and enjoy your (fully deserved) day at Wembley. It might be 2075 before you get there again...

So, do you think Asiata deliberately made that tackle to cause injury because he was desperate to get to Wembley? Get a grip man, and have a word with yourself. 
FYI - My reply to Zig was a counter example, but tbh, and I've said a few times, Shorrocks was never a red card.
To insinuate that Asiata risked a serious head injury to himself to injure another player because he's desperate to get to Wembley is absolutely preposterous.  |
