Hull is nearly as far as Wigan

Hull’s training ground is about an hour during the morning commute from Ponty, Wigan is 1h35. As someone who commutes an hour & 10 mins a day makes a big difference.

Yeah agree. I’m really not sure being in Ponteland is really the driving force here. Sounds to me lie Zak just doesn’t want to be at Wigan. Done tho kids before when at Leeds and ended up going to Oz!

wigan is not 1hr 35 to pontefract either, 1hr 20 at most, hull is an hour, if the 20 minutes is a deal breaker for him....then cheerio, ! commute an hour each way also but for a better job then so minutes would be easily done by me and happily do it

Many, many people commute hours a day to and from work, especially in and around London. It's a pathetic excuse. Too many are talking as if he's working 12 hour shifts! If the oversees players can play thousands of miles from home, never seeing their families for months, even years, on end Hardaker can make it to training from Ponte!

If he doesn't want to then that's all there is to it. People going on about a few minutes difference here and there between Hull and Wigan are just making excuses.

He filled a gap when we signed him, but he's not shown much to excite the crowd. If he wants him away, he can go. We'll need to clear some space anyway, if we're to sign the kind of centre we clearly need for next season.

If he wants to go fine thanks for a the memories but don't use travel as an excuse it doesn't wash I'm afraid

He was ultimately signed as a fullback - it's probably still his best position but others have far surpassed him at Wigan in that role. Him moving to Yorkshire to play fullback and us bringing in a specialist centre will surely be how this one ends.
