| Davies and Sarginson would have been useful today. Chewing up metres early in the set

I just think he is good when he wants to be when the conditions and the opposition are in his favour.
Every time he is challenged or tested he seems to go missing or come up with some very poor play.
It’s a mentality thing with him in my opinion.

Attitude has been a major issue with him for some time but I personally think he's shown a big improvement in that area since getting his place back.
The problem was in the middle of the field today - very difficult to blame the outside backs in my view when they had no opportunities.

| What's really incredible is that, not long after they burst onto the scene, Burgess and Manfredi were being tipped by some to be England's first-choice wingers. Just watching the likes of the Fox and the Fergosaurus playing in Melbourne v Parra, and maybe it's a good thing that they both seem to have been found out before any such critical error of judgement could be made by the England selectors.
The difference in standards is literally frightening, as is the decline in these two young men's quality over a relatively short period of time. Manfredi maybe has an excuse, but today neither of them even looked good enough for SL let alone England.

He has the turning circle of a container ship that’s always been his problem, however give him a clear run to the line and not many will catch him

A bit unfair on Burgess as he was no different than others in the team on Saturday and supporters should remember, he is only playing because of the injury to Marshall and the lack of other specialist wingers in the squad as a result of letting Tom David leave and not replacing him!

You would expect his attitude to be exemplary under Ian Watson.
Then again Shaun Wane couldn't even sort him out so who knows.

is it attitude? I know everyone says it is, but am I wrong as I could be, is this not his first full pre season since his return due to injuries? He doesnt look bad this year, hes been better than Manfredi anyway
