I'm not actually sure what the point of this post was?
GB obviously has a serious & potential career ending injury. It's not like he's playing 60+ mins and is off form.
I've been hugely impressed by Singleton and at the same time I'm gutted the GB signing hasn't worked out.
You can't however fairly compare the two

No doubt, in a few seasons time the same will be said about Bullock, Burgess, Havard, Partington, Singleton etc when they too have played for the same length of time and replaced by new props.
Players come and go without comparisons being made all the time.'"
Because he has been signed to replace them. Notice in my post I wrote 2020 versions.
Flower and Clubb have been warriors for this club and great signings, but nothing lasts forever and we’ve upgraded.
I thought this was an Rugby league forum for discussion about Rugby league.

| Really getting tired of the anti-George Burgess bandwagon on this forum.
We all now know that GB arrived here with a longstanding injury. He recently stood down to try and get it fixed.
We're all disappointed, but constantly having a pop at the guy is childish and pointless. It may also be damaging if he ever reads these boards and wonders what kind of fans won't give a player a chance to overcome an injury.

I agree. I’ve said on many occasions I feel sorry for him, he’s carrying a debilitating injury and it’s no fault of his own we offered so much. In a short career what was he going to choose? Exactly what anyone would.
I genuinely wish him well, I hope he comes good for us and overcomes his injury. That being said if he can’t or it’s unlikely, then for the good of himself and his future health he should retire.

| TBF, some of the criticism is more directed at the club, ie, we shouldn't have signed him in the first place.

It is, providing you don't say things that conflict with the personal opinions of others!

But, will it last, bearing in mind that he was cast off by Leeds and was signed by Toronto who did not have a squad strong enough for the Super League.
I will reserve judgement until he has played in a number of games and been as consistent as Clubb and Flower when they were first signed and also showing the consistent form of Alex Walmsley.
The same was being said when Bullock was signed and played in his first couple of games, but has not played on a regular basis until recently when he has got into the team ahead of injury hit Burgess.

| I don't quite understand how Clubb is being given the "he's rubbish" while GB is "he's injured". Do people forget the Clubb as been injured with a potential end of season injury that luckily it wasn't, notwithstanding almost losing a kidney.
Flower too has been hit by injury this in the last year.
Show some respect eh? Both Flower and Clubb have been long time servants of the club.
GB came here knowing he was injured and has done nothing to suggest that he will be recovering any time soon, but he is being given a free ride it seems.

Don’t think he was really “cast off” by Leeds.
He had a significant disagreement with Furner which meant he was pretty much dropped from the team for his entire reign.
Leeds wanted to keep him once Furner left however he felt he hadn’t had support from Sinfield and other senior figures throughout the ongoing issues with Furner and asked to leave.

They've all been, without exception, absolute rubbish this season too. Get rid of all of them, soon as.

Correct, and some of the recent comments about Clubb and Flower are a disgrace.

The fact remains that he left Leeds and no other club in the Super League made a move for him except promoted Toronto.

The fact is Leeds wanted to keep him, he wanted to leave and sign for Toronto.
Those are the facts.
The rest of what you are saying is speculation on your part in an attempt to justify your incorrect initial position.
He wasn’t a Leeds cast off and also now you seem to know he had no other options than Toronto.
Are you his agent?
