Ah that old chestnut. You didnt go to the game so you cant have an opinion.
I suppose you are a better person than me as well?

I’ve never once said we will beat Salford. Read my recent comments and you’ll see I think it is a tough ask but one which I’m confident we can do.

Really?
Quote: 100% Warrior "Who else is going to give Salford a go other than us? '"
If nobody but us can give Salford a go then you are obviously clearly saying that only by us losing the game can they beat us. You dont think that they might just play better than us and earn themselves the right to be at Old Trafford?
What are you going to say if they do beat us, they got to Old Trafford because we let them have a go?

| Quote: Jukesays "You say you want to "just let Salford have a go at saints"
You say "you dont want saints fans gloating at you"
How else could that be interpreted?
When someone questions it and says that wanting your own team to lose is daft, and being scared of losing in a final against Saints is no reason not to want to st least try and you go off on one starting that's not what you said.
It gets proved that's what you said, and you now admit that's what you said and now you say that " I dont want us to get through you're right. At last, you actually get it"
Me actually get it!!!
I think your losing the plot pal.
The other day you seemed to have a hissy fit when someone questioned you about not agreeing with Ian leneghan etc.
You said something along the lines of "this is a forum for debate and aren't we allowed to question the club"?.
Well yes, of course you are, but dont then get all high and mighty when someone questions you!
If I see a good comment I'll agree, if I have something to say I'll say it and be prepared to be shot down or stand my corner.
But equally if I see something that I think is wrong or just downright ludicrous I'll call that as well.
What I will say is that your interpretation of "just let Salford have a go" seems to be at odds with what seems like 90% of other peoples interpretations of that statement. Maybe you need to clarify what you mean better.
However it seems crystal.clear to me that wanting Salford to win because your worried about being embarrassed at OT is pretty much what everyone thought you meant, and I'm not surprised that people think that's a little bit, how can I put it, Not right?
Anyway, as someone said.
Crying foul and making out its everyone else's fault is right out of the Boris Johnson/Donald trump play book.
You can say what you want but dont like it when others make you accountable for it, then claim that's not what you said and wveryones against you.
Good luck with that, lots of people can see straight through it.
COME ON WIGAN, let's get Salford beat and have another crack at Them Men.
You never know!
(And if we do lose that doesn't mean your right).'"
Your argument all along has been that i suggested we throw the game and let Salford win.
That was never the case.
Now you say that me wanting Salford to beat us is the same thing as wanting us to throw the game?
Your brain seems foggy. Nothing you argue makes sense. Please take large amounts of Omega 3 fish oils before you reply.

You say My argument "all along was that I suggested we throw the game and let Salford win".
Above is what I wrote
Where did I say you suggested we "Throw the game"?
I said "Giving up again I see"
That's because you dont want to risk getting beat easily and are more worried about how you look or feel if we get beat so youd rather not even get there.
I'm willing to bet that 95% plus of people interpreted your post the same way and it's you that is living in a delusional make it up world where you just deny you've said things and make everyone else's comments out to be "Fake News".
I'm not interested in what you think of me, but what I do know is that the majority of people whether on here, in real life (I'll explain what that is if needed) and at EVERY GAME WE EVER GO TO AGAIN would, if we had the samensttitude as you, laugh, mock and gloat at us even more because we were too scared to even turn up and have a go.
I've seen your other replies and making out that other posters are being disingenuous to Salford because were making out the only way theyll get through is by us "letting them have a go at saints" is ridiculous as its you who said it.
Every single one of the posters who disagreed with you ABSOLUTELY 100% KNOW that Salford could beat us, using you own comments that "we should let Salford have a go at saints " to imply we dont is baffling.
Let's keep it simple
We all know that Salford have a good chance of beating us Friday (I think we can all agree in that).
Just some of us thinks it's worth wanting to beat them so we can have crack at Saints even of it is only a relatively small chance of victory, whilst a few (and I'm not sure who WLA is talking about when it comes to multiple user names etc.) Want to lose so they can sit in an arm chair at home safe in the knowledge that they can have a small crumb of comfort in saying "Well at least it wasnt us they beat".

Christ almighty are you really this thick or do you have to try?
It’s fact that we are the only team who can “give Salford a go” (your words). What are you insinuating? That we can call upon some other team to play for us?
I do think they could play better than us. I’ve said it repeatedly but you continue to play the Boris Johnson game of denying facts and truths and I’ll continue to call out you’re ludicrousness and lies.

| This is just insane.
Do I want my team to beat Salford? Yes of course.
If we do will we beat Saints? On current form unlikely, but more chance of beating them than if Salford win tomorrow!!
Is there a good chance that Saints paste us in the final? We need to beat Salford first, assuming we do then of course it's likely. It's also likely we only lose by 6-10 points and make a real game of it. It's possible (however unlikely) we may even sneak a win.
Is it better to play in the final and potentially lose by a large scoreline than not appear in it at all? Yes. There's always the chance we may win against the odds (See Sheffield 98, Warrington 2019 challenge Cup finals).
What are the repercussions of losing by a big scoreline against Saints? Social media forums, this forum probably goes into meltdown. The usual trolls will give us some. Workplace banter will be a pain for a few days, we will have to put up with Saints fans singing 'championees' next year, we will have to hope the NRL winners beat them in Februarys World Club Challenge.
Will we get over it? Of course we will. Its happened on many occasions before and will again.
Stop being a melt and support your team.
You never know.

Regardless we can at least say we made it to yet another final, meaning that we've reached a final every year this decade bar 2012 (and we finished top that year).

100%
As a man who was at Wembley when Sheffield Eagles beat us and also the same venue to watch Wigan Athletic beat Manchester City, a bonus final (if we make it it would be a bonus for me given we were second bottom 4-5 months back) against a good Saints side would be far from a write off. We’ve a hell of a job on tomorrow first against a group of mates playing with each other potentially for the final time and they’ll come with so much desire but if we get through it then I wouldn’t rule us out next week.

| 'Never write off the Saints'
It's a tag line that confuses me as to why Eddie Hemmings coined it for a side that has won so little over the past 10 years. However, they are clearly the team to beat and against us in a final you would be folly to dismiss Wigan Warriors. If any side deserves that tag line it is surely us or Leeds for our history of winning the GF from un-favourable positions. This season though it looks as though it will go along the lines of the league table. When Hudds and Cas finished top you never really got the impression they would go all the way. Even when Cas got the the GF in their stellar season i don't think many actually fancied them. Playing in a Grand Final takes a special kind of temperament and our side is littered is winners. That mentallity against the might of Saints (this year) could throw up anything. Let's beat Salford and see what happens.
