It's the same BS people shouted at the end of Nobles time as head coach. Fans used to say that we needed a new team when in reality all it took was a new 7 and a proper coach.
I'm a firm believer that our current side has ample talent, but we've just not seen it due to Wane. You bring in a hungry Aus coach + Tommy it's 2010 again and we are top dogs.'"
We will have to agree to disagree.
We have poor players with poor abilities.
You can argue that's poor coaching but players with basic abilities don't need coaching.

I think it's more to do with the frustration over the quality of players we've been recruiting/retaining. If i remember correctly, I think Noble had a much better group of players to pick from (and I was never in the camp that thought we needed wholesale changes back then). I'm afraid I just don't think a lot of our lot are up to it.

Not taking the two on offer at the end of the match which would have guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals.
Stupid beyond belief.

I will say that Faz and Bateman are in my book two of the best players in our squad. if Bateman is considered too small for the pack, then play him in the centres; he's certainly better there than most of our 'proper' centres. But yes, a good clear-out is needed.
Get yourself a subscription to the NRL games, Itchy. It's not all great, but some of the sides (the Panthers. Eels and Tigers spring to mind) do play some entertaining footy.'"
The Raiders are the best rugby side in the world to watch, hands down and they have 2 brits dominating every match. If we could poach a coach I would fly straight over to Canberra with a suitcase full of money.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Who would have slated them? They only scored 1 try in the WHOLE match, they couldn't score against 12, they couldn't score against 11 who watching (apart from Wane) thought they could score in the last few minutes?
They were pathetic misrepresentations of rugby players and coaches, and have been for 2-3 seasons. Without coaching changes, next season we will be playing in the qualifiers with crowds of 5k

| It wasn't just the penalties with a minute to go. We could have won by 6-8 clear points had we taken the points when they were on offer following the Farrell try.
I believe that had we nudged in front by two then Widnes would have collapsed.

Ryan Sutton dropped it short, Widnes were, possibly, offside at their kick, and also scored off a forward pass. They weren't great in attack either, but they defended well.

It's all Stephan Marsh's fault! His chase back and tackle on Sutton to knock the ball out was superb! No Wigan player has the heart or desire to do what Marsh did.

Yeah, they play some great footy, and JH is at the heart of everything they do. And Whitehead, now he's found his feet, is playing really well too.
It's all cold comfort to Wigan fans, though.

| I suspect that the uninspiring performances this season will be the straw that breaks the camel's back for many ST holders and casual fans. The average attendance has been on the way down for the past 4 years, and the only thing keeping it above last seasons figure is our 15th home game being played at the DW rather than 200 miles away.
If there is no change in the coaching structure and we start 2017 in the same way as we have played throughout 2016, then I fully expect to see the first sub-10,000 crowd for a regular season league fixture at the DW for over 10 years.

Funnily enough, from I can gather, Tigers fans really slate their coach, but at least he hasn't coached all the natural skill out of his young players.'"
I watched the Storm v Sharks this morning. Very enjoyable.
I think the thing I enjoy the most about the Aussie is that there is no ing about at the play the ball. Players don't look for free kicks every time they get tackled whereas in our game every team has a JC impersonator at every tackle.
Might just sign up for the play offs.

| Haven't seen the Sharks game yet. They sure recruited well for this season. I am a big fan of Maloney, I think he is a top, top half, always liked him at the Warriors. Brave, skillful, and a terrific goal-kicker to boot! It looks like they really be going places this year.
I'm saying all that not knowing the result. Fortunately NRL results are easy enough to avoid in the UK!
