A real shame and it's clearly the most severe injur he could have got. It makes the need for outside back cover even greater.

| Having seen the report about not being sure about looking at wingers I wonder who, apart from shuffling Tierney and Gildart, will be in the frame for next season. A couple of youngsters will be moving to open age but are any of them wingers?
On another tack how will we be lining up at hooker next year. Will it be Mickey, or Powell, or Shorrocks, or Tommy or will Ganson get a look in?

| I'd like to see Liam Marshall given a crack at some point. He's done well out on loan at Swinton (iirc) and I think it'd be a real shame if he left without being given a shout.
I think he'd turn in to a really good winger given the chance and could hold his own in the first team.

| It was announced in the SS bar before the match that Marshall and Davies have signed first team contracts. Two different styles of winger. Marshal is very quick and quite feisty where as Davies is tall with a long stride, a bit like Budgie but without the same rugby brain. Given Manfredis injury both may get a chance next season.
Hooker willl be interesting next year with Micky Mac, Powell, Tommy, Ganson and Waterworth all challenging for one place. I would also like to see Gabe Fell have a shot at fullback if sam is out or playing in the halves.

I'm hoping that Tommy has been brought over as a 7. Too good to just be spelling McIlorum when we have such an average player at in the halves

Based on what? The fact he didn't play and we lost? By that logic I would have been the match winner too. Widnes have beaten us at the DW with and without Smith this year by the way.

Whilst I agree he is average I do think Thursday highlighted that we've probably been a little harsh with him tbh. I think he like a lot of the others are struggling because there's issues with the attacking structure of the side. He plays a part in that but the buck stops with the coach. There's a lot if talk about us 'tweaking' things in training and getting through a lot of quality work in between games but we don't see it out on the field.
His confidence and the confidence of the side in general looks at an all time low. The pressure is on Wane to find some answers.

| The injuries are winding me up now! Every week we have at least 4-6 players out for one reason or another. Whereas Hull and Warrington have gone relatively unscathed all year (bar the bad Mitch Dodds injury).
Wane gives the excuse every week "noones trained all week"
But WHY? Why are we getting so many injures? Fitness coach, training too intense?
