Just read the thread and I don't get the criticism of Gildart and Sutton. IMO these are two of the brightest prospects we have and like Budgie before them have that something about them that says they are natural RL players and could go on to great things.
They are both young and seem to be getting criticised as if they were at their peak. To put this in some sort of perspective, Gelling is 25 ands still makes daft mistakes yet often gets away with it with fans and is often referred to (still) as a work in progress yet Gildart is only 19.
I don't think they are the issue at all. It's more senior players who deserve putting under the microscope. For example saying Sam being back takes pressure off Smith. Smith shouldn't need pressure taking off him, he should take it off Williams. Instead because Smith is so static and predictable defenders can mark Williams without worrying about Smith.
I have not seen the Leeds game (was at a Status Quo concert, late birthday present from the wife
) so my comments are general and made because I think people are being a bit harsh on two excellent young players.
