| And the worst of it is; how likely that we'll see a significant improvement against Cas?
I wouldn't be too hard on Gildart, he's shown that he's SL standard, no problem. The senior players on that pitch today need to take a long hard look. As does SW.
I agree with DaveO; we've been fortunate this year, winning games by the skin of our teeth when barely deserved. Yes, a defeat's been coming, but of this magnitude?

| Quote: Wigan6/Leeds1 Andy "Agree.
For me it shows that when Locky, Bateman and McIlorum don't play there are zero leaders in the team.
We have to buy experience AND leadership when recruiting for next season.'"
Jodie Broughton mentioned something interesting after the Catalan game in Thursdaf, that the NRL guys that are in the team have lifted the rest of them and have outlined their goals for them.
It's something we have neglected for far too long in favour of "local lads". Passion only gets you so far. In fact if we had some today we might've actually scored...

It's amazing that we've had injuries all season and we're still only 2 points off top. Compare that to Leeds, who arguably haven't had it as rough as us, yet are 2 points off bottom. Perspective lads!

Ye it only gets you 3 grand finals on the bounce apparently.

| Wigan thrashed by Wakefield.....no excuses from Wigan supporters please. They were selected by your coach who thought they were good enough to 'take the two points' but in the end you didn't even score 2 points. Worst defeat for you since 2005....

All those times you lost by 60 points (there have been plenty haven't there?), I guess the other team was just much better were they? No excuses...
Weren't you lot calling for Kirmknd to be binned off 5 weeks ago?

| Without doubt the worst display I have seen by a Wigan start. There are no excuses for that. Even with a full team out with the attacking plays we have it was embarrassing.
We must be the worst coached side in the league.
It was a joy to watch behind the sticks as Wakefield ran lines, supported the ball and worked the ball into space. Wigan drift around the pitch sliding and put the ball out of the back.......that is it.
Wane will no doubt talk about illness and players missing but with the structures we have you could have the best players in the world and still struggle to score.
I would prefer to watch the Noble style of coaching than this garbage.
If he has any self respect he will walk.
Full credit to Trinity thought they were superb.
Special mentions to Isa and Smith for putting in maybe the most inept displays I've seen on a rugby field. They were both that bad it was one I will be able to say I was there to whiteness it.

| So we were ill all week and didn't train according to Wane. He isn't concerned, in fact he is "relaxed" about the situation.
Very concerning. Could you imagine Maguire coming out with garbage like that?

| The cracks will be papered over with another GF appearance though. The rest may have their day against us and gloat all they like, but they'll have their feet up watching on Sky come October.

| He did talk about illness, on gmr, which if true is a fair call at least putting a team out on the field.
That being said I've not seen it rumoured on here, Twitter Facebook or anywhere this week.
It always leaks out somewhere, usually.

Many more performances like that and we won't get near Old Trafford. We have no divine right to be there, and it's not like we've been generally in good form this season, we haven't.
In nearly every game we've played this season, I've looked at the opposition and thought, they're playing better footy than us. A dispiriting thought.

You mean you don't follow Wigan on Twitter - shocking!
